Fate In The Bible
Ecclesiastes is allegedly a product of King Solomon. He discusses the idea that there is a time and season for everything in life, including times to be born, to die, to plant, and to harvest. It emphasizes the balance of life’s experiences, highlighting that each moment has its purpose.
Often attributed as the wisest man in the history of Israel. Keeping that in mind let’s take a look at a particular passage that I find the most interesting.
3:19 Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless.
Think about that verse and the freedom it provides. Where is the mention of heaven or paradise, the threat to burn in the fires of hell. If the same fate awaits me that awaits my dog, then why the commandments to do this or to do that? Does it matter if I lay with a man, a woman, a dog, or a horse? Thou shall not steal, is a commandment. Why does it matter if the same fate awaits us all?
Salvete Lamia and Ave Satanas!
