AUTHOR’S NOTE:

After watching the movie “Sucker Punch”, I was inspired to write this story. It is based on the 2011 fantasy action movie directed by Zack Snyder about a young woman plotting her escape from an asylum. The theme tune from the movie is the Annie Lennox song “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These) and her name is also used as the name of the mental asylum. In the same vein, I added a few Easter Eggs of my own in this version — like the names of all the femboy characters are nicknames for the male penis.

SYNOPSIS OF SWEAT DREAMS:

After the death of his mother, a young boy named Rocket is framed for his younger brother’s murder by his greedy stepfather, who is infuriated after being cut out of the will, and secretly arranges for Rocket to be committed to a mental institute. Upon arrival, the stepfather bribes the chief orderly to forge the paperwork of the institute’s psychiatrist to have the boy lobotomized. But Rocket slips into a fantasy world in which a devil-worshipping cult controls the asylum. He and the other patients are sex slaves for this perverted pederasty cult. In his fantasy, Rocket imagines that he will be forced to perform erotic dances and that his anal virginity will be taken by the cult’s high priestess, who is a transsexual, in a bizarre sex ritual devoted to their phallic demons. In reality, the high priestess is actually a surgeon who is scheduled to perform Rocket’s lobotomy. Rocket dreams of an angel who tells him that he must escape the institute. To do so, he will need four things: a map, a knife, a key, and a fire. There is a fifth, unrevealed item that only Rocket can find through a deep personal sacrifice, which will grant freedom.

That story is more along the lines of my beginnings. It wasn’t a choice, it just was. I get it.  Authors say that sometimes a story takes on a life of its own.  Hmmm, kind of like real life where we don’t know what will come next.
