The Little Satan: Writing on the Infant Lucifer by TempleOfThat

One of the forms of Lucipher I’ve encountered is his form as a small boy, usually around 6 years old. From what I’ve found, he tends to be a very gift-giving boy, but still very sneaky and mischievous, much like one would expect from a boy. He’s very much oriented to luck and fortune, quid pro quo: you give him gifts, and he gives you gifts.

I’ve never seen him with a consort, though one vision I had of him was him sitting on a lady’s (presumably Lilith’s) lap while she bounced him. 

He does appear blasphemous, coming in the form of the Infant Jesus of Atocha or some other blasphemy of the Divine Mother and Child. When he appears, he likes the space to be filled with music. Instead of this, clapping and sings as though singing a song to a child. 

As a prankster, he sometimes makes his form known by dropping things, sudden sounds and the like. He likes to be pampered but, unlike the other Diabes, doesn’t like drinks or alcohol. For him, toys, sweets, sweetened coffee, colouring books and pencils are his offerings, alongside scribbled drawings and the like.

He doesn’t like prayers, from what I’ve found. He gets bored easily as a kid would and doesn’t like lengthy orations. If you want to call to him, you call to him like a parent would their child. 

As the Orange Diabe, he rules over passageways, doors, luck, fortune, dreams, health and is especially fond of women. He does come to men, but he’s very much a mommy’s boy. One small ritual one can do is to have a blanket in which they wrap the Devil and symbolically breastfeed him and sing him to sleep.

He is rather tied to nature. Like Pan, he often makes sounds to delude people or cause panic. He appears in some cases as a small boy in traditional Portuguese clothes with a stick or a small toy.
He likes soft colours. He does have a smaller capacity to induce love, especially between parents. He hates catholic imagery, so it’s good to cover the altar with the saints when invoking him.
He can represent the inner child; by taking care of him, we take care of our own youthfulness.

Offerings:

• Sweetened coffee or milk
• Toys and cards
• Interesting items like coins and crystals
• Symbolically breastfeeding him
• Singing or clapping
• Orange candles or soft colours
• A makeshift bed for him to sleep
• Sweets, especially toffee or bubblegum
• Scribbled images
• Colouring books and pencils

He does not accept sexual sacrifices. He does not like alcohol or other adult offerings. Sweets should be left in natural areas or crossroads.
