I don’t want anyone ever feeling bad about their practice from this space I made to even find out what “god-spousing” was and if I was doing it “right” (I am older and wiser now, aren’t we all). I am aware that I am posting on main little, often amusing, snippets of what is at its core, heavy magic.

But also, context is everything. I did not have this amount of time to give to my magic at any other point of my life. I am a disabled grandparent. Lucifer and I joke we are “retiring together.” Seeing all of the posts from people (who are often my kids ages or younger) saying the little things they do to honor their Gods, how they figured out how to make their bed an altar, or how they mix a sigil into baking a cake to honor them, I am often in awe. In my twenties I was fighting Catholic God about my many complaints.

I didn’t even know Lucifer was an option, nor did I think of ways to honor him when you can’t let the people around you know. Y’all are light-years ahead of me, and yes your Gods love the drawer you have for them, or the jewelry you wear, or the Pinterest board that makes you think of them. How could they not? You’re giving them a gift of the little you have to share. May your practice always be the thing you need, and let me give you hope that one day it really will be. Smooches, Ily.
