Effective Communication 3
Create an altar and consider offerings. These create energetic bridges between our realm and theirs. Unfortunately, too many practitioners or new occultists misunderstand offerings as payment or bribery. This transactional approach undermines relationship building. Effective offerings represent shared experiences that strengthen connections.
Traditional offerings include incense, food, drink, candles, or blood. The specific items matter less than their significance to both you and the entity. Research traditional correspondences, but trust your intuition about what feels appropriate. A lot of times, I pour Lilith a glass of Dead Guy Ale.
Nowhere in my research have I ever read this. Listening to my intuition, I felt she wanted to share with me. Food and drink offerings work best when you partake first before setting aside a portion. This creates a shared experience rather than a sacrifice. Consume your portion while focusing on the qualities you appreciate about the demon, in my example, Lilith. Leave their portion on the altar for at least a few hours before respectful disposal.
Effort offerings prove particularly effective for building relationships. Create art, music, or writing dedicated to the entity. Learn skills related to their domain. These demonstrations of commitment impact relationships more profoundly than expensive material items.
Even time itself serves as a valuable offering. Regular meditation sessions where you simply sit in the demon’s presence without requests strengthen bonds significantly. I’ve found fifteen-minute sessions three times weekly more effective than elaborate monthly rituals.
For those with limited resources, candles and incense provide affordable options. The quality of attention matters more than the material value. An inexpensive candle lit with focused intention surpasses expensive offerings given carelessly.
Essentially, I speak with Lilith every day and occasionally with other demons. Treat them as your friend, establish rapport and stop asking for specific things and watch as your communication improves.
Salvere Lamia and Ave Satanas!

I will honestly admit I have seen myself in my mind kneeling like this picture posted in the center of a Pentagram with candles all around me. I will save this picture to my iPhone photo library. This happened to me quite often when I was with my lady in the Mist.
