So, here are some truths about the Russians. The Guardian Newspaper recently outlined Russia’s fake claim to preserve so-called Christendom when it highlighted some basic facts. Today, Russia is the leader in all of Europe in:
(1) highest divorce rates,
(2) highest HIV infections,
(3) highest abortion rates in the world – by far – as the chart below shows, and the
(4) lowest church attendance, personal prayer, and religious teaching & practice in the home.
The one thing that most separates democratic nations from totalitarian nations like Russia, is that democracies mostly have constituents who largely embrace the truth. Whereas dictatorships are only fed lies. So sad that this country now has nearly half the population clinging to outright lies, despite easy access to the truth.

The word “democracy” is needlessly used a lot. If we were under a real democratic government in America instead of a republic; a lot of things would have never been illegal. What people call democratic governments are really republics.
In a democracy, we would vote on what we think is best for us. In a republic, the people we have elected vote on what they think is best for us.
Remdmber The United States of America Pledge of Allegiance, “…for one republic…”
As far as I know, there is no democratic government on this mud ball. Plenty of republican governments. It’s still better than communism. Communism in theory sounds great, but seeing the current working models and reading about past ones, I’ll stick to republics.
Plus, I love how republicans act like the wotld is going to end when there’s a “democratic” majority. The same way “democrats” act like the world is going to end when there’s a republican majority.

I’ve been a lawyer for over 40 years, so, I do know this much. The U.S. Constitution established a federal democratic republic form of government. That is, we have an indivisible union of 50 sovereign States. It IS a Democracy because people govern themselves. It is representative because people choose elected officials by free and secret ballot.
I agree with you about Communism is not the answer. My point is, the GOP Trumpets genuflect to Putin claiming he is the savior to Christendom, when he is the antithesis to it as I outlined in my 4 points above. Yet, those on the alt-right Republican Party claim this in their daily troll dribble. You don’t bomb schools, hospitals, nursing homes, apartment complexes, rape women, murder innocents by the thousands, then claim you are so-called religious. My only point is how the Republican Party has become a cult under Trump. Ukraine was attacked, not Russia. Russia possess almost 7000 nuclear weapons, while Ukraine has zero.

I don’t really care about Trump either way. My point has to do with the fact that America is a “republic”, not a “democracy”.
I know that I’m young, so maybe inexperienced in many things; but I would like to think I know this much. In a “democracy”, the public would have been able to vote on whether drugs should be illegal instead of congress. The public would have been able to vote on raising the age of sexual consent instead of the state politicians.
In a democracy, which does not exist on this planet, we, the public, decides by voting on what’s best for us. In a republic, which is what we live in, politicians vote on what’s best for us.
Now I understand that even if America was a democracy, that there would be many decisions that would not be able to be put to a public vote, such as certain financial and military decisions and so on. Although a lot of things would have never been made illegal, such as alcohol during prohibition, and marijuana during Nixon.
In the end, everyone has their own oppion. In my oppion, I’m going by the literal meanings of “democracy” and “republic”.
I really would love for this country to be a real democracy, but hey, it beats living in a socialist state any day.
