Imposed Sexual Restrictions
One thing that has highly bothered me is the nonsensical religious restrictions imposed on sexuality. The Abrahamic religions claim we are the most beautiful creation of God (The Demiurge) made in the image of said divinities ~via the Council of El. In fact, we are encouraged in Genesis to multiply. Yet somehow an intense appreciation of our divine alikeness amongst one another is somehow the greatest ‘Sin’.
Contrary to what pop-culture media would have people think, I’ve found most Left Hand adepts to be more down-to-earth, congenial, and accepting of various people. I genuinely have a love-lust for various cultures, religions, and theologies (for academic purposes) because it helps broaden my perspective of the world’s problems. The result is peace of mind, empathy, and a willingness to forgive.
We all house various spiritual attachments within, and we should seek alignment of those forces, rather than expelling those archetypes that may seem dark (that which is initially perceived negatively because the root cause of imbalance is unexamined). Sex is a great way to reset and reground, and I think this truth is particularly hard hit on the morality scale because of the power it gives back to people’s lives.
