Awaken

As the first light of dawn crept through the curtains of my bedroom, I lay there, the remnants of a night spent in ecstatic revelry still clinging to my skin. The air was thick with the scent of incense and the faintest echo of chants lingered, a testament to the transformation that had taken place within these walls, within me.

I remember the days when my life was dictated by the rigid confines of Christianity, where every pleasure was suspect, and the body was a vessel of sin. I was the epitome of piety, my life a monochrome canvas of devotion and denial. But that was before Lilith whispered her sweet heresies into my ear before I learned to embrace the forbidden.

It began with a book, old and leather-bound, found in the dusty corner of an antique shop. The Sigil of Lilith, it was called, and it promised power and pleasure beyond the sterile paradise offered by the celestial Father. As I turned the pages, I felt a stirring within me, a hunger that the bread and wine of communion could never satiate.

I started with small acts of rebellion. A prayer to Lilith under the moon’s watchful eye, the feel of the rosary beads, once a tool for penance, now repurposed to chart the rhythm of my carnal desires. With each bead, I renounced a piece of my former self, shedding my inhibitions like snakeskin.

The day I took a crucifix and fashioned it into a pendant that nestled between my breasts, I knew there was no turning back. The symbol of suffering and sacrifice became an emblem of my liberation, a declaration that my body was a temple of indulgence, not a fortress of denial.

In my house, clothes became relics of a bygone era. I declared my domain a sanctuary of flesh, where the human form was to be celebrated, not hidden …
