Roe v. Wade is under attack once again. Overturning Roe v. Wade would be a massive violation of the rights of all people with uteruses all over the United States. As a Satanist and a Witch, I feel that it is my duty to stand up for abortion access and the rights of people with uteruses, regardless of whether they’re women, men, or non-binary.

Abortion is crucial to respecting the bodily autonomy of anyone with a uterus who doesn’t want to be pregnant. If Roe v. Wade is overturned, then an individual’s access to abortion will depend on their local and state laws, which also include penalties for anyone who has an abortion.

Criminalizing abortion creates an unsafe and unjust world for anyone who’s capable of getting pregnant. Now, if someone wants an abortion, they have to use DIY methods which are usually way less safe than having an abortion in a controlled medical environment.

Criminalizing abortion is just another way of mandating forced birth and religious people forcing their opinions on the rest of the country. The criminalization of abortion is an outright denial the person-hood and autonomy of anyone with a uterus. It is the total de-prioritization and dehumanization of women and anyone else who can get pregnant.

I created this pentagram/heart/infernal Venus sigil for the purpose of protecting abortion rights in the United States. Meditate on this and/or share it if you feel so inclined.
