Was Jesus, Julius Caesar?

WAS JESUS THE HISTORICAL FIGURE OF DIVUS JULIUS, THE GOD TO WHICH JULIUS CAESAR WAS ELEVATED?

I am not claiming that Julius Caesar WAS Jesus. I am suggesting that if one looks at the history and life of Julius Caesar and then compare it to the biblical tale of Jesus, it is remarkable how the two match up. I have long suspected that the Roman Empire invented Christianity and this contains some interesting reading.

ICONOGRAPHY OF CAESAR DO NOT FIT OUR IDEA OF HIM.

The mental block which prevents us from entertaining the thought that Jesus could be Divus Julius, the deified Caesar, is not only due to the image we have of Jesus, but also due to the one we carry around of Caesar. When we hear the name Caesar, we think of the general and dictator, and if we think of him as a writer at all, we only think of him as a reporter of his own military and political activities. Other aspects – especially the Clementia Caesaris, Caesar as Pontifex Maximus and Divus Julius – are indeed known to the specialists, but are repressed in the collective mind.

JESUS’ LIFE IS IDENTICAL TO THE LIFE OF CAESAR.

Both Julius Caesar and Jesus began their careers in northern countries: Caesar in Gaul and Jesus in Galilee.

Both cross a fatal river: the Caesar crossed the Rubicon and Jesus crossed the Jordan;

Both then enter cities: Caesar entered Corfinium and Jesus entered Cafarnaum.

Caesar finds Corfinium occupied by a man of Pompey and besieges him, while Jesus finds a man possessed by an impure spirit.

There are similarity in structure as well as in place names: Gallia and Galilaea, Corfiniu and Cafarnaum, occupied or besieged and possessed (both known as obsessus in Latin). The similarities remain consistent throughout (when occupation or besieging is referred to in the one text, possession is used in the other, etc.)

PEOPLE IN THE STORIES OF CAESAR AND OF JESUS ARE STRUCTURALLY THE SAME PEOPLE, EVEN BY NAME AND LOCATION:

p dir=”auto”>Caesar – Jesus
,
Pompey – John (the Baptist)
,
Antonius – Simon
,
Lepidus – Peter
(Decimus),
Junius (Brutus) – Judas
(Marcus Junius),
Brutus – Barabbas
,
Octavianus (Augustus) – John (the disciple),
Nicomedes of Bithynia – Nicodemus of Bethania,
Cleopatra – (Mary) Magdalene
Julia (widow of Marius) – Mary,
The Senate – The Sanhedrin
,
Gaul – Galilee
,
Rubicon – Jordan
,
Corfinium – Cafarnaum
,
Rome – Jerusalem

MY CONCLUSION:

Regardless of your spirituality, research, read, and consider the information. For myself, I have long ago determined what I believe and what I do not believe. Do not believe in something simply because others do so.

Research, Think, Reflect, and Decide.
