Upside-Down

I love how nobody is realizing the upside-down cross is actually Christian.

Everyone who uses it as a Satanist symbol, you are also actively promoting Christianity. I don’t know why, but that is just hilarious to me. In German it is the Petruskreuz. Translating into the Cross of Peter. From the few articles I’ve read, Petrus actually was about to die on a cross, but he didn’t find himself worthy of dying the same way Christ died, so he died on an upside-down cross.

The cross developed to be used as a provocation. And in the modern age, it used to be a sign of ”I don’t like the church” — but it is not a satanic symbol — At least that’s what I’ve read, feel free to correct me.

I would say that it is not the cross being upside-down, but the act of inverting the cross that lends itself to be used as a Satanic symbol. To many, like myself, who use this symbol it is almost like performing a ritual of sorts. Inverting the cross is often done by Christians who have turned their back on God and Jesus and to invert the cross is symbolic of taking away its power.

A person can do this as a final act along with committing the unpardonable sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit and telling it to never whisper in your ear or pull on your heartstrings again and to leave you alone forever. Essentially making the conscious decision that you are forever done with the Christian God. One can do this and it not be “Satanic” but the ultimate act of blasphemy. Telling the part of the Trinity that wields guilt and shame to fuck off … you’re done and it has no more power over you.

Sure, many people that have done this also turn to Satan or use Satanic imagery and that is most likely why it has become seen as a Satanic symbol.

Personally, were I to believe anything in the Bible to be true, I would love to go back in time…to Peter’s crucifixion and show him his chosen way to be crucified, upside down so as to not be on the same level of the savior he had betrayed, has now been perverted as a symbol for Christians that have now turned their backs on his pathetic savior of nothing.

I simply enjoy urinating on them.
