Toevah Mumar

For all my newer contacts, I like to give an explanation of why I chose the name Toevah Mumar. “Toevah” is a Hebrew word that was often used in the bible to describe things so disgusting to god that he called them “abominations”.

“Mumar” is a Hebrew word used in the bible for “apostate”. It means one who has turned his back to something or someone, specifically here as one who has turned away from god, or, turned his back on god’s calling of him. I feel this is a just description of me and where I am in my life and how I stand before god – An Abominable Apostate.
