Polytheism
Theistic Satanism is, by its very nature, polytheistic. We believe in a variety of divine beings — Gods and Demons — who act in the world by manipulating matter and energy.
What there cannot be is a universal god. The Universe itself may be a Deity, but if so it has no more concern for us than we have for a single skin cell. Even so, its agency is limited by clearly defined, and understandable laws. That means it is not, if it is a God of Gods, is not omnipotent. Omnipotence is, it is patently obvious, impossible.
Polytheism, on the other hand, is logical. Gods, of which there are an infinite, are beings of pure, structured, energy. They are nourished by the light of sun and star, and exist in “empty space” and on the planets of our Solar System.
Most Gods are unknown to us. They have no particular interest in us. We cannot know their concerns, nor understand them. There are Gods who exist in our world and take an interest in us. That doesn’t mean they all like us. There’s a reason why people all over the planet acknowledge trickster Gods who treat us as toys to play with. Others promote moralities. In the case of the Abrahamic god, a minor being that has lied to us from before history, that is a morality that considers slavery perfectly acceptable, but objects to coveting someone else’s male and female slaves (Exodus 20:17).
The Gods who interest themselves with us are Dark Beings for whom their is neither right nor wrong, only freedom and slavery. They are for the first; since they want to see how we use our freedom, but not for the second.
They appear to us in our hearts; once we become aware of them we see them as sharing essential qualities like gender with us. We call them Lord and Lady, Father and Mother, King and Queen. They warm our spirits, and we are drawn to them as our friends and guides.
All Gods are the same Gods. I was struck years ago by an idol of Kali with that Dark Mother making the Sign of the Horns. I realized that she was Lilith as she appeared to the people of India. Regardless of wherever you are on the Earth you acknowledge the same Powers by different names. Lilith is Erzulie, Kali, Inanna, and every other Dark Mother. Satan is Shiva, Legba, Hades, Set, and many other names.
Gods are pluripotent, they have many great powers, but it is not infinite. It is greater than any we could exert; but that’s the difference between us and the Gods. They are to us what we are to the smallest thread of DNA in our bodies. When we meet them we may rejoice, or we may suffer, but we will always learn.
Lilith and Leviathan bless You.
