I am writing this after I saw a comment by Regis below. The reason that your comments and feedback are important is that it does take time, energy, passion, and talent to write stories — be they erotic or not — and this website is primarily to host a collection of stories and materials, that I feel, otherwise would not see the light of day. I truly appreciate those who regularly “like” posts, and give positive encouragement. Please take the time to support us with your thoughts …

My response to Regis:
It’s disheartening when there’s little response from readers. I will remind everyone that feedback is important to us (as writers) — that it’s like we’re sending a message into space, and getting no response back. So frustrating.
You know, I feel the same. I write and write and write. Sometimes it really frustrates me that I get such little response. Every month I publish a story. Every month I post a link on ReligiousFetish.com (I get no response). I post on iTaboo (I get no response). I post several times on Tumblr (I get no response). I post on FetLife (I get maybe 1 or 2 likes). I post on every MEWE group that I am a member of, on every single group blog, and send messages to every individual that I am connected to (I even send them reminders). I am lucky to 6 or 8 responses. In the LS666 comment section, I have disconnected comments for my stories — so I sometimes will get one or two individual emails.
It’s like this every month. With every story. Personal messages. Requests for comments. I have tried everything.
It’s tough. What else to do? I guess, I write for my own satisfaction at the end of the day. When I used to post on ASSTR, I would get 10,000 hits per story (almost immediately). After 7 years, LS666 still doesn’t have that reach yet. I get over 4,000 to 8,000 visitors daily. And maybe, overall about 10 comments and 10 likes (for everything). I feel really bad about the lack of comments. Maybe folks are too lazy? Cannot be bothered? Don’t appreciate what it takes to write a story in 22 chapters.

Regis, Please keep going. I am one who commented on chapter 10. I have long been a fan of your writing, back to the days on another site. We used to email (Frodo) each other about your stories until I changed my email address and lost yours. I am the one who recommended to you when the other site made restrictions on the type of stories posted, that you should post on Little Sally. I do not know why people do not comment on your stories. I think Jennifer has it right, most people just read all the articles and do not comment. I read everything you post, but I usually do not comment on myself. Each chapter in this series has been excellent, perverted as usual. It’s just the way I like it.

Please do not give up. I undetstand you may be disheartened by the seemingly lack of feedback. However, something I’ve learned as a teacher who gives out a class survey at the end of each course, for every one survey response i get, there are several other students who were in the class and who i know got something out of the course. However, if i based the impact of the course just on the completed survey feedback, then i would (incorrectly) think that my course only was received by and impacted a very small number of people. My point is that your stories are appreciated by a wider audience than the amount of feedback you receive may lead you to believe. I wish it were different but i think it is the nature of the beast. So you often have to find the motivation to keep on going from within. I experienced this with the original captioned pics i used to post on my old Tumblrs. I ended up making hundreds of such pics but the initial feedback i got was limited at best. However, as time has went on, i still will see some of my pics show up on other sites like MeWe, iTaboo, Tumblr, Fetlife and more. So it it’s only with the gift of hindsight than can really appreciate the fact that my work actually reached more people than i had originally thought. So please do NOT give up. Many of us LOVE your work!!!
I agree with all that has been said here. Maybe some people can’t or won’t give feedback because they don’t want to involve their email on a site such as this?
A lot (of course) are just too selfish or lazy.
Others, maybe, in general life, are not used to writing and feel inadequate to comment ‘on paper’ so to speak.
Others think that it’s not important to give appreciation and hopefully this article will jolt readers to comment in the future.
Readers remember that with any author COMMENTING/SHOWING YOUR APPRECIATION FOR SOMETHING WILL ULTIMATELY RESULT IN YOU, YOURSELF GETTING MORE OF WHAT – YOU – LIKE!
So don’t be any of the above if you want to enjoy an author in the future APPRECIATE THEM!

I didn’t comment on it because it wasn’t to my taste. That’s the most I could have really said, and I don’t think even Ray would care (I really doubt he writes to please everyone, even everyone here).
While I do comment here, I don’t do so frequently. Perhaps I should comment more. I understand and respect, yet remain disappointed at, certain content publishing decisions; this has reduced my frequency of comments, however.
I would be lying if I said I liked every story on this site.
In fact, for my very sinister tastes, some of the stories are too straightforward and – dare I say – often predictable and boring.
But that does not apply to the other 99% of the texts and opinions on this site! 😜
I admire XP not only for what he writes and how he writes it, but also for his diligent patience and hard work to make this site the gem that it is.
As a sincere supporter of DARK, I am very happy with the message that XP wants to convey on LittleSally666 -and with him many others. Regis, I discovered your stories a few months back. I enjoy them anll and many other authors on this site. I once would write stories posted to the Dark Realm of Polaris, and I too was disheartened by the lack of comments emailed about the stories I have written. But, years after the site was shut down, a request was made on REDDIT by a reader on finding one of my first stories.
I believe that your efforts are not lost or under-appreciated, I just feel that due to the stories context, most readers like to remain anonymous. Keep going….
Also, if you are friends with Stuffitinn, tell her/him I really enjoyed Destroying Her and hope there is more to come in the future.
