I, Antichrist. You Too.
The Antichrist isn’t just one entity, but many. I am one of them. You are too. For this is what the Catholic Church teaches us. I came across this priest’s post recently.
“The Antichrist is not merely one individual person or entity, for the Bible says that there are ‘many Antichrists’.” (1 John 2:18). Rather, the term Antichrist comes from a Greek word meaning ‘against or instead of Christ,’ refers to anyone who does the following … I check most of the boxes.
“Denies that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) or denies that he is the Son of God (I John 2:22).” Fuck yes. Daily.
“Opposes the Christ, God’s Annointed One (Psalm, 2:1 2; Luke 11:23).” Goes without saying. I am an enemy of Jesus Christ. Of the Christian God. Of the Holy Spirit. Fuck all three. Satan is Lord.
“Persecutes the followers of Christ, since Jesus views what is done to them as being done to him. (Acts 9:5).” Persecutes may be too strong a word, but I live to undermine their faith, corrupt their souls, and turn them away from Christ. I love ruining their lives, causing them to fall.
“Pretends to be the Christ (Matthew 24:24).” This is the one box I don’t check. No one would believe I’m Jesus. As I wrote recently, many straight people out in the world sense I’m evil, even when I pretend to be one of them. Oh well, I am who I am. Including one of the many Antichrists.
