Do you know where you’re going when you die? Have you heard about SALVATION?

Every human being is born a sinner, into a sinful world, because of ONE mans SIN (Adam). The bible says the wages of sin are death. And it is SIN that keeps us separated from God during life, and eternally after we die.

(Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death…”

This means that when our physical body dies, our spirit, will go on to be separated from God, forever; the bible calls this place hell. Hell is completely void of God’s presence, and is described in the bible as a very unpleasant place.

(2Thess. 1:9) “They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.”

But the bible also says that Jesus is the way of life;

(Romans 6:23) “…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God (the Father)sent His Son Jesus into the world, to bear the sins of the world;

(John 3:16)” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

(1 John 3:5) “You know that He appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin.”

When Jesus came in the flesh (being born in human form), He knew that one of His purposes was to die for mankind’s sins; and He willingly gave up His life by dying on a cross. He did this because He did not want anyone to be eternally separated from Him after death; this is called “spiritual death”. His body died on the cross, and it layed dead for three days in a tomb.

(Romans 5:8) “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

(1 Peter 3:18) “…being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.”

Three days later, Jesus’ body was raised from the dead, by the powers of the Holy Spirit. This means that Jesus had defeated sin and because He did, sin no longer has a hold on man (US!) It was sometime later (40 days), that Jesus eventually ascended into heaven–and He is alive right now seated on the throne at the right hand of God.

(Luke 25:5-7) ” Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”

No one is without sin. When we understand that sin keeps us away from God, it is then we realize that we need a savior to save us from it. But no HUMAN is capable to save us from our sins, forgive our sins, nor can we attain salvation for ourselves. That is why God had to send Jesus. He is the only way.

(Romans 3:10) “As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;”

When a person sincerely believes in Jesus and what He did on the cross, they can have eternal security when they die–they can live with Him in heaven forever. And because of His death, we are all are saved from (sin) and (spiritual) death THROUGH Him! His shed blood is the atonement for our sins. This is what is called SALVATION (being saved and born again). And this is what is known as the ‘Gospel Message’.

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

However, not everyone will make it to heaven because they haven’t claimed salvation for themselves; either because they have not heard the Gospel Message, or, because they have willfully chosen to reject Jesus (unbelievers). That’s why it is important to reach those who have not heard the Gospel before Jesus comes again–so they can make a conscience choice either way.

(John 3:3)”Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.””

(1 John 5:12) “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have (eternal) life.”

Do you want to claim salvation (and be born again)?
If so, you can say the following prayer, BUT…

You MUST understand FIRST…

Just simply “saying the prayer” DOESN’T mean you are automatically saved and born again; BELIEVING with a SINCERE HEART in Jesus and what He did on the cross (His death and resurrection), and having a deep faith and trust in Him –THAT is how one can be sure they have claimed salvation, and that the holy spirit has come to live inside of them. Fully trusting in His death as the sufficient sacrifice for your sins, and completely relying on Him alone as your Savior (That is the biblical method of salvation).

The moment you sincerely believe with your heart, a faith action takes place. God then indwells you with His Holy Spirit inside of you, spiritually sealing you for all eternity. The Bible says all who take this step of faith become “new creatures in Christ”. Like being born the first time, being born again is an event. This event moves a person from death to life according to the Bible.

Prayer of Salvation (say aloud):
“Heavenly Father: I realize that I am a sinner and that I cannot do anything on my own to save myself or attain salvation. I confess right now Jesus, my complete helplessness and need for a savior in my life. I believe that you died on the cross for MY sins, and it is with sincerity in my heart that I now choose to believe in you.

As I place my complete faith in you, I ask that you will come into my life and be Lord and Savior over it. I claim Romans 10:9-10, I believe that you have been raised from the dead and that you are alive today, and because you defeated death, I can be assured of entering heaven upon my death.

Thank you Lord for forgiving my sins and putting my old life to death! I proclaim 2 Corinthians 5:17, that I am now a NEW CREATION in Christ! I will now try to live a life worthy of you, by living Godly and adhering to the guidance of your word written in the holy bible. In Jesus name, amen.”

CONGRATULATIONS and GLORY TO GOD! HALLELUJAH! WELCOME TO THE BOOK OF LIFE!

(Ephesians 1:13-14) “In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance (in heaven) until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.”

Now that you are saved some things to know…
You must be willing to change your life to living a more Godly lifestyle.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old (life) has passed away; behold, the new (life) has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Get connected with a bible based christian church. Once you find a church you like, share that you are a new believer, and its a good idea to join a small group, and/or a bible study group for beginners. Both of these will help with guidance.
