Forgiveness Fallacy

Christianity teaches you to forgive unconditionally. This approach can further empower others to gaslight you and keep you under their foot. Shouldn’t you instead, evaluative person’s behavior, and either be willing to forgive if you observe heartfelt repentance, remove them from your life, or in extreme circumstances, pay them back for their infraction?

After all, if wicked people have no consequences for their actions, they keep doing it. As for me, if you wrong me but realize you did so, then come to me with an apology, I’m likely to forgive. If you wrong me and see nothing wrong on your part. You’re likely to be removed from my sphere of influence. If I am certain that you were deliberate in your intentional harm towards me, you’re likely to suffer a compensatory wrath of my delight. May consequences be your teacher and myself, the deliverer.
