Fake Doms

Let’s talk about fakes and predators for a minute.

I’ve seen fakes and predatory behavior for a very long time. A fake Dom will groom a naive submissive. And in some cases, someone who has been in the lifestyle for awhile. They know what to look for. Someone who is so desperate to find a Dom they will do anything, and they ignore red flags and their gut instinct.

They don’t take the time to get to know and vet the individual. So they will listen to whatever lies the Dom will tell them. The Dom will compliment them. They will say things such as, “You’re so beautiful/handsome,” … “Please let me take the pain away from your past dynamic.”

These fakes will also demand that their submissive call them Sir or Mistress from the get-go. They will also have rules, punishments, and even rewards after only a few messages. They will look for subtle cues and pounce on those. A fake Dom will also figure out any insecurities the submissive has, and use that knowledge to their advantage.

Eventually, their prey will start ignoring their gut and all the red flags. A fake Dom will also ask for pictures that are not G-rated from the get-go or within a few messages.

There is nothing inherently wrong in asking for a picture of someone just so they can see what the person looks like. Because face it. We are visual creatures. And as such, we want to know what the person looks like we’ve been chatting with.

It’s been my experience that these fakes have never actually been involved in the lifestyle. They will take whatever limited knowledge they can glean from the internet and use that to prey on naive individuals.

You will also see a lot of this predatory behavior coming from submissives as well. It’s not limited to just the left side of the Slash.

You will find that a lot of Dom’s are new to the lifestyle. A predatory submissive will basically do all of the things that a predatory Dom will do. They will complement them. Tell them that they could be a great submissive for the Dom. A fake submissive will generally prey on a brand new Dom to the lifestyle. The Dom is so inexperienced that they don’t recognize the red flags.

So please. Pretty please with sugar on top. Take the time to vet any individual who crosses your path. Listen to your gut instincts. Remember. This lifestyle is a marathon and not a one-hundred-meter-sprint. Your time will come when your time comes. Stay safe out there my friends!
