COMMENT FROM LILO DAEMON:
Although I enjoy your stories, I don’t particularly see Satanism as wickedness. Rather, Satan, Lilith, and the other demons of Hell are the Old Gods, YHWH, despite current pretensions, is just another demon, another power of the Universe. (I will come back to that.)
Satan is the “king of the Gods”, you might say. I think he can also be viewed as the font from which all true power springs. I realize that is an inversion of the Christian tradition, to which i give little credence..
Satan, creator of the world, inseminator of life, created us as what we are: beasts of the field, no better and no worse than any other. The notion that killing something and eating it, or fucking whatever moves, is somehow “against God’s law” is ridiculous; the behavior of creatures on earth does not support it. Christianity fits men and women like a chastity belt on an adolescent: constant torture to no purpose.
“Sin” is a good thing, since what it really means is meeting our needs rather than denying them. Wickedness – willful sin – is devoutly to be wished. Of course, there are consequences to acts, and Satan does not protect us from such consequences, but we can ask for wisdom.
But my formal training is very weak (working on that); most of what I’ve just said is intuitive. And there is clearly a viewpoint in your writing suggesting that Satanism is about giving into temptations and meeting our secret needs. Though I’m not really into pedophilia, the world you present, in which that eroticization is really what children want, it is erotic.
You are a unique and powerful writer. So I was curious what your thoughts were on Satanism.
RESPONSE FROM XP:
Hail Lilo
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to put your point across very eloquently—I would like to publish that—is that OK?
What I do is stories. It is regardless of my personal philosophy or beliefs. If I was to write a story about a serial killer, it doesn’t mean that I am condoning murder. It’s just a story, presented for entertainment.
No doubt, I am a pervert and I have enjoyed thoughts about perverted sex since I was ten years old. The sexual arousal of blasphemy, sacrilege, temptation, corruption and sin is something that I truly enjoy in all of its forms. Do I act them out? No. I often think, if I had the right sex partner, I would love to indulge in many of my sex fantasies—but alas, I live a very normal and boring life.
What do I believe in?
Satanism is something very interesting. I have read a lot about it and around it. Satanism isn’t actually about Satan—it’s about self actualization (in my eyes)—being accountable for yourself at all times; and not allowing others take advantage of you—having an indomitable spirit. This much I absolutely believe in. If God says that the ‘meek’ will inherit the world—i’d say, that He doesn’t know what He’s talking about. The meek get fucked—it’s the law of the jungle (as you implied).
My beliefs have osculated from time to time—from rejection of anything supernatural, (either good or bad) and it’s bearing on our personal action (as I see it, we are solely responsible for our own actions and cannot blame it on a higher power); to feeling that I am one with Satan (in a spiritual context)—as if He is guided my efforts and nurtured in my role to serve Him and His agenda better (whatever that is).
I enjoy this type of conversation. Thank you again for sharing with me. Let’s talk more. XP
