Baphomet

Baphomet is the symbol of balance. It is not the symbol of the devil, as some were led to believe. A famous occultist, Eliphas Levi Zahed, talks about the image of Baphomet as a key to all magic and that it is the source of all magic. Mat Auryn, the author of Psychic Witch, writes “Baphomet is male and female, light and dark, all the classical elements, animal, man, above and below, angel and demon.”

Baphomet has the word “solve” on its raised arm and the word “cogula” on its lowered arm. In alchemy, the word solve is used to describe the breaking down of elements. And coagula is a term used when the elements are united.

So, I wanted to say that the Baphomet has a strong significance to me — A must for every altar!

Not just as a symbol of evil, though, in my former years, I saw the Baphomet as the pinnacle of devil worship — there is something about its duel sexuality, animal nature, and its eternal flame that draws me to it. Of course, there is much symbolism around the Baphomet from the time of the Freemasonry and Knights Of Templar, to now … it has held a mystical, sexual power of attraction.

I have often picture my imaginary lover, dressed as the Baphomet, with bare breasts, an erect penis, and cloven hooves for feet. It’s a fetish thing rather than a religious calling, I know, but it has inspired many a powerful orgasm. Long live the Baphomet. May it fuel your darkest of desires from between its open legs.
