Altars & Spaces
Meditatingdockdweller poster is a fabulous article concerning altars, emblems, and personal spaces. As always her post made me stop and read, as well as reflect. As she is a follower of The Dark Lord, I feel a sisterhood with her and wanted to share my view.
Likewise, I am devoted to The Dark Goddess who I call my Dark Father. These may well be the same or different, however, their influence and motivation are the same, I’m confident. My first pentagram was made with rope, hastily laid out and as I climbed inside I felt their embrace.
As I grew closer and closer over time I made several altars to honor mostly Lilith as well as a touch of Lucifer. Listen to your inner voice as there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on items when you know what to do. I am unsure if my reply will allow an image, but ai will attempt one of my favorite temporary altars.
With that said, I have no permanent altar other than my house. If one were to look carefully enough my living room is full of marble serpents, crystals and precious stones, idols, jade bodies trees, and things from around the globe that when gathered together would certainly signify those found on an altar. Other rooms contain candelabra with black candles and red in another room. The red room contains the religious items covered in my fluids as well as some owls.
Yes, my dwelling is my altar, and I converse with The Dark Goddess daily. For me, it works, similarly to my use of religious items to amplify my Darkness. I know that these Divine entities predate the Abrahamic and the joy of using religious items is another self-serving amplification and acts as my confirmation that I am not a follower of the light, but a bullhorn for Darkness. Salvete Lamia.
Hail the Scribe of Lilith
