It Is Inevitable
Pastor or church leader, I know what it’s like to be curious. I told myself, too, that I was doing research, with a burden for the lost, when I sought out satanic websites, including satanic and blasphemous porn. Remember, it was all research to help me be a better Christian, a better evangelist, a better pastor.
I didn’t plan for it to happen, but — just to experience the taste, to see how people could be so deceived by the Devil — I sipped from his cup.
And it was delicious. But I swore that it was just that once. Never again. But if you taste his wine once, the flavor will linger on your tongue long after you have wiped your mouth. But even more, not only does his cup intoxicate; it infects. And there’s no cure.
If repentance is the cure, repent and be cured. If prayer is the cure, pray and be cured. If church is the cure, go to church and be cured. But what I’ve found after years of countless relapses is … Saying, “Hail Satan,” and meaning it is inevitable. Masturbating for Him is inevitable.
Praying to him is inevitable. Crossing lines you swore you’d never cross is inevitable. Changing desires are inevitable. Pleasure is inevitable. The power of Satan is inevitable.
