The Satanic Bible

We learned that God wants us to be submissive, but Lucifer wants us to have free will and to be independent. And that the Messiah talks in God’s place. And that angels were not made by God but are embodiments of His power, that is why Lucifer is so chaotic, he wants order, but not at the risk of making others subservient.

I also understand those who are Christian and anti-vax. Can’t argue with them since they believe that science is a branch of demon activity. Where I find solace knowing an embodiment of God made science, they go a different route. In the following, we will learn from different Daimons about their stories from the divine realm. This will be coloured as well.

Astaroth

Astaroth am I, Daimon of Senses, who by Satan was charged to complement the sciences of Asmodeus, for Satan said, “As I have given man awareness of himself, Asmodeus shall teach him knowledge of his world and the Universe. But to what avail would this awareness and knowledge be without admiration for and appreciation of these things?” I said, “Indeed, were man to have no emotion within him, he would incline to the end of Heaven, pursuing a Universal mechanism for its own sake alone.

Even were man to achieve absolute physical mastery over God-Cosmos, he would have no means to comprehend the measure or the significance of his accomplishment save through that detached sensitivity to aesthetics which is the craft of Astaroth. For the Satanic Gift awakens man also to intellectual detachment, to the ability to view his progress and plans from an extra-scientific base of emotional pleasure.” Page 87.

Each major demon is a fallen angel, an embodiment of God’s power. They were gifted free will and decided to use it. For a long time, there was harmony, but Lucifer wanted to give mankind the freedom of choice so that they might choose God with love and not fear. So we have a demon responsible for our emotions as well.

Whereupon I came to Earth with Asmodeus, and even as he spoke to the intellect of man, I brought meditation and introspection to the artists and authors of man’s sensitivity. And man came not only to use his Satanic power but to recognize the extent of freedom which it promised him – the subjugation of all behaviour to his Will and not to natural or mechanical laws. Page 88.

I had to look this up. What is the difference between prayer and meditation? Prayer is outward communication, whereas meditation is inward reflection and stillness. Prayer is active, while meditation is receptive.

Why do I get prayer and meditation confused? Well, that is simple: when I meditate these days, I hear voices, and I am often in some kind of communication with something, even though my goal is for calmness or order within my mind. I used to pray a lot during high school because I was in 2 different Christian youth groups, while practising paganism, but as I never truly gained a response, and would get better responses using my tarot cards, I slowed down on doing it, only engaging in meditation. I use my tarot cards the same way people pray, it seems.

So I confronted man, saying, “Throughout the Universe hath the once single Will of God been succeeded by the balance of perfect opposition, wherein the forces of the Angels of Heaven and those of the Daimons of Hell act to mutual frustration, serving in concert only to uphold the great barrier of will between order and chaos.

And man is the child of imbalance, who shall resolve the issue between Heaven and Hell, and who, unmatched by racial antithesis, shall transcend the rule of order of God and establish the eternal freedom on Satanic Will.” And I said, “Not through thy physical and philosophical sciences art thou to achieve this thing, for thy mind and Will must be trained anew in empirical conception. Man must create his own order independent of all external imposition. And not until he masters this power may he aspire to the end of his Satanic evolution. Page 88-89.

We are reminded that to do well, one must know oneself. Many great gifts have been passed down to humans, some from God, some from Satan, some from angels and others from demons.

This is the insidious nature of Hell, and I think the Christians that read this will either double down on their devotion to God, questioning things like science and philosophy, or they will forgive the demons for their nature and accept the gifts as they are not the ones behind the actions of humans who use their free will for evil. There is a balance here, to use free will to uphold the word of God, or to go against all that He has planned.

Belial

Hail, man, who shall bring to the end of the Universe the glory of thy Satanic Will! I am Belial, who bring to thee the third great key of Hell, by whose power ye shall confound all the laws of Heaven and Earth. Before thee shall chaos fall, and thou shalt wield for thyself the great mysteries of the macrocosmos. I speak to thee of that which is called the Black Magic, for it is the true spawn of that great Black Flame which first brought thy Will to life long ages ago. Page 91.

So thus far, we have the first key, which is science and maths, the second key, which is introspection and meditation, and the third key, black magic. To council with Satan I was also called, and the Lord of Light said to me, “Into thy charge, Daimon of essence, I give the essence of my own being, the Black Fire, whose power alone can effect creation by force of Will.

Against thee who wield the Black Magic no law shall stand, and thus I call thee Belial, who art One Without Master. And as I have bequeathed this essence to thee, so let it come finally to man, who shall overcome the great balance and bring to the Flame a change, for in supremacy it shall become Red with perfection of the Will of man. Page 91-92.

The black flame was referenced earlier as the flames of hell. How it became so dark, I know not. Lucifer went from glorious light to a dark light during the span of the war.

And in his innocence, man knew not the majesty of the Flame, using its lesser powers for finite and minor alteration of the divine law on Earth. And as man might unleash the Flame beyond his skill to master it, Satan said, “Belial, the Black Flame cannot incline merely to the base ends of ordered existence. Man must recognise the ultimate potential of my Gift ere he destroy his very race through its abuse. Convoke therefore a Church of Satan to tend the Black Flame with care and wield it with wisdom, preserving for man this key to infinite Will. Page 92.

Farewell, O man, who are at once child and father of the Universe! Remember the future which is thine, and know now and forever, that hell entrusts to thy care, the guardianship of the eternal Will. Page 93.

There are no threats of damnation in these passages; they literally go “here is a gift, use it well, we are here to guide you with this gift.” And I am sure that this book, if read by a devout Christian, would lead to more people abandoning science and philosophy, and sticking to their echo chamber of faith. Which is sort of the opposite of what I want to accomplish, but I dare not take any of these quotes out of context. I highlight the passages that would be used in conversation, like people taking from the Bible, but I include the entire paragraph.

I am getting a weird sense reading this today. I feel as if I am pushing people away from the maths and sciences because I am agreeing with their views of who is responsible for what. Again, the question arises, what does God want with so many submissive, subservient or compliant followers?

I have a higher chance of being a part of the Satanic Church than I do of joining Christianity because of their focus on maths, sciences, philosophies and introspection.

Leviathan

Before God or Angel, Daimon or man, there was Leviathan alone, the principle of continuity and ageless existence. By relation and time, I have oft been sought, but Leviathan shall yield to no other than the final master of the Universe. Leviathan is the absolute, man, and if thou would presume to realize that neither Heaven nor Hell may affect, know that when thou beholdest the presence of Leviathan, thy end hath been attained.

Only through obliteration of the Universe that is may man seal his mastery of the Black Flame, for only thus may he know that he is not subject to a stronger will. Heaven must perish, Hell must perish, and man alone must remain ere the Black Flame becomes Red in the glory of its perfection. Page 95.

This chapter is short and sweet; it is Leviathan talking to the people, for he is ancient. Since he existed before man and heaven and angel, it would tie into my theory that God came to Earth after the asteroid impact, but Leviathan was here, with no wish to rule. He, it?

Leviathan might have been a god of the dinosaurs, but he is now trapped in a dystopia of life after the mass extinction event. I bet this guy is happy for whatever managed to live through the eternal darkness the asteroid procured. So, of course, it would make sense, but like any wild animal, he needs a strong handler to ensure a good quality of life. And with Leviathan is the last story to extrapolate.

Backstory: The Original “Lucifer” Essays

1969 is when this book was written. Similar Satanic sagacitickles included:

  • A bird in the hand is useless when you want to blow your nose.
  • Don’t ever sit on a stone bench with a glass bottle in your back pocket.
  • If you are a lady, do not wear patent leather shoes because men will see your underpants reflected in them.
  • A crowded elevator smells different to a midget.
  • Never shove your mother while she’s shaving.

Sagacitichles definition:

  • Sagacity/Sagacité: The quality of having or showing understanding, wisdom, keen discernment, and the ability to make good judgments.
  • Tickles: Often associated with humor, lightheartedness, or amusement

Actually, outside its ritual chambers, the Church of Satan was scrupulously staid. Individuals’ promiscuous proclivities were considered their own business entirely. The result was an adult atmosphere in which sexual issues, should they occur conversationally, were considered both calmly and courteously. Page 106.

Here, we have the focus on privacy and not sticking your nose into your neighbor’s business. Anton LaVey’s weekly lectures included one on “classic” neck-nibblers like Count Dracula and Barnabas Collins, but for this essay, he was more interested in something less sanguine: humans who try to avoid confronting their own worthlessness by firmly attaching themselves to one or more creative personalities and seeking to control and exploit them thereafter.

Such is what Anton called a “psychic vampire”, the defining characteristic being that the PV has no independent identity or accomplishments of any significance, and is only influential through use of the host. Page 106.

Today, we understand that psychic vampires are people who drain the emotional or mental energy of others, leaving them exhausted, stressed or overwhelmed. These individuals often show Machiavellian traits, feeding off the attention and vitality of others.

At its most elemental level, “sacrifice” implies the giving-up of something precious to oneself in return for some other benefit or favor. Humans, being the selfish creatures they are, however, have always seemed to prefer giving up something precious to someone else to obtain the expected benefit.

And so Anton’s first prescription was simply that the Satanist should not destroy an innocent animal or human being to avenge or appease self-generated insecurities. If a sacrifice is felt to be necessary for a magical ritual, then the sacrifice should be a true one – involving the magician himself. Page 110.

The Church of Satan asks one to refrain from killing something to gain favour. A lot of people associate sacrifice in Satanism with the death of something, be it a chicken, a lamb, or a person, but it is clearly outlined that a sacrifice of life is not needed.

In my talks with those on the other side, they ask for you to sacrifice your material belongings long before you kill something in favor of power. They do not ask for death to be summoned; the right ritual will do that for you. They do not need the blood of innocence because it goes against treating your neighbor with respect.

Many people who read this will assume that you can commit suicide and end up being the sacrifice for something dark and unholy. But that is not the case; you will still end up in a layer of hell, the second ring of the seventh circle. The Lord of Light wants people to live a life of happiness and peace, not one of fear, so he would encourage those who are suicidal to find a reason to live. Some need enlightenment, others need medication.

Satanism glorifies life and rejects forms of abstinence based upon presumed reward or punishment in a posthumous Heaven or Hell. Page 112.

Life is meant to be experienced fully without the restraints of fear. Or at least that is what I found through my prayer/meditations. As civilization continued its upward lurching, the life of the common man gradually became longer, healthier, and more affluent. It stands to reason that it should have become happier, but this would have weakened the hold of the great religions. So they told the man that he should feel guilty for enjoying himself, because such enjoyment was supposed to occur only after death. Page 113.

We are told that if we are subservient and submissive and compliant throughout life to God, a mere 70-100 years, we will rest in paradise where we can live to our heart’s desire for the rest of eternity.

Universes

The Objective Universe is what most humans are accustomed to regarding as “the only” universe. Page 117.

Humans have gradually realized that the OU is not chaotic and haphazard; it exists and functions according to inflexible regularities, normally known as natural – or, as they are discovered, “scientific” laws (NL).

In prehistoric and primitive cultures, before such laws were known to exist and be thus inflexible, the OU was assumed to be a variable at the manipulative whim of gods/God, and considerable effort was devoted to worshiping or appeasing such entities to prevent natural disasters or cataclysms. Of course, there were/are enough random interactions of NLs to lend credence to “divine intervention” explanations, particularly when preached to ignorant masses. Page 117-118.

The more we learn from science, the more impressive things become. Some questions to ponder, or pray on.

  • How did the Objective Universe come into being
  • Why is it organized as it is?
  • Who created natural law?
  • Why is natural law so completely and permanently enforced/
  • The Objective Universe have a purpose, or is it a gigantic accident?
  • What is/should be humanity’s relationship with the Objective Universe?

The Subjective Universe is each self-conscious being’s perception of the Objective Universe, blended with personally-generated overlays, selective impressions, and creative imagination as instinctive, indoctrinated, inspired and/or initiated. Page 119.

So it stands that they are trying to understand the natural world through the laws of science, and they take into account the individual’s experience. You cannot see the Objective Universe clearly, for your perception is changed by the distortion and filtration through your own Subjective Universe.

Sometimes this is possible through peaceful means such as education, reasoning, or argument. In other instances where conscious SUs are too passionate, or when subconscious SUs are too inflexible and intolerant, the individuals/groups may resort to coercion — aggressive and intensive indoctrination, conditioning, and reinforcement, along with the suppression or extermination of the offending “competitors”—  to achieve the desired “reality”. In modern society, unsurprisingly, such coercion and intolerance are invariably attributed to “the enemy”, domestic outlaws, insurgents, revolutionaries, or other “alien” individuals or groups.

It is assumed, without any need for argument or justification, that the community CSU (Collective Subjective Universe) into which its members have been conditioned since birth, is not just one among many options, but is “reality”. Questioning it thus goes beyond acceptable curiosity to “heresy”, “treason”, or “insanity”.

This was most famously caricatured in 1984 by George Orwell, in which failure to accept the party’s CSU not just at the conscious but at the subconscious “reality” level was condemned as the worst of all possible sins “thoughtcrime”. Page 120.

I guess the question is, how do we know reality? Is it simply through our senses, and experience with our sensory organs?

D*4 is popularly called “time”, but as previously noted, that is a very ambiguous term. So D4 is better defined as duration, meaning the endurance of the existence of a D1-3 OU item. *D stands for dimension Page 123

I do have to ask, the rotation of our planet is going 1 670 km/h or 1 040 mph, do our molecules maintain themselves because of the rotation of our planet? A force beyond gravity, because we do not notice the spin on the world, how can we know that a different planet’s speed doesn’t play a role in constructing reality? What if our molecules only adhere to their shapes because we are spinning so quickly? We are also travelling at 450 000 to 515 000 mph, 720 000 to 828 000 km/h as a solar system. One of the biggest things that is not taken into account enough is the speed at which our planet travels. Maybe there is life on Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, but it spins at 49 476 km/h or 30 743 mph, which is much faster than earth causing molecular structure to appear different.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone. Page 124-125.

Time

What all Western religions have in common is the linear time of Judaism. The principal Eastern religions — Hinduism and Buddhism — are cyclical, not linear.

I have an issue with this because Western religions are dominated by the Christian faith, but they are not the original people of the land. This passage ignores the indigenous perspective on religion. It kinda irks me when this happens, but socially in the 60’s, people were not focused on the original inhabitants of the land as greatly as we do today. There were still residential schools erected to try and coerce the native american out of their ways and into the ways of white society.

A quick Google says that the original Western religions of the original inhabitants were that they viewed time as cyclical and relational. So once again, we have something that only God’s fandom supports; that time is linear.

Christianity’s and Islam’s diligence in obliterating “heathen” history leaves modern historians and archaeologists with substantially fewer resources than would otherwise survive. Concerning just the famous Library of Alexandria: In 389 CE, a Christian mob, acting on the orders of the Christian Roman Emperor Theodosius, burned the great library to the ground.

Even so, millions of book-rolls were rescued or gathered together from other repositories, and the library was reestablished — until 636. In that year, Alexandria was taken by Omar, the Third Caliph of Islam, who decreed: “The contents of these books are in conformity with the Koran or they are not. If they are, the Koran is sufficient without them; if not, they are pernicious. Therefore, let them be destroyed.” They were burned as fuel to heat the city’s baths; it took six months for all of them to be consumed. Page 134.

Because religion and science rarely work well together, we are left with many gaps in history from the burning of the lighthouse of Alexandria to the Dark Ages in Europe.

Seeing as how these arch-demons are the embodiment of God’s powers as well, it is hard to look past the fact that God is omnipotent and knows all. He is well-read in the topics of physics and metaphysics. The embodiment of that would be science, from astrophysics to molecular biology. It is too bad that the embodiment of science chose free will over submitting to God, because modern Christians have a valid excuse to deny the workings of science. Their black-and-white thinking is one that can suffocate innovation.

This chapter is all about how time is a social construct, backed by theology. It is our way of fumbling around the universe, trying to understand our existence.

Gods and Devils

Neteru refers to the gods, goddesses and divine, cosmic forces in Ancient Egyptian theology, representing personified principles of nature and the universe.

To the Egyptians, all of the OU is actively-alive: the direct consequence of the wills of the neteru. Nature was intelligible not just through inanimate, automatic, general regularities which could be discovered via the “scientific method” — but also through connections and associations between things and events perceived in the human mind. There was no distinction between “reality” and “appearance”; anything capable of exerting an effect upon the mind thereby existed. Page 147-148.

The way different religions react to forces of nature says something about the civilisation that supported them. I don’t know exactly what it says, for I am not a historian, but it does say something. Many religions had gods in charge of harvest and of tempests, and of the water and air, whereas Christianity has angels and demons to fulfil the same positions.

Not just this striking contrast, but the scourge, persistence, and viciousness of non-Satanic religious violence speak directly to the reason: insecurity in non-Satanic religious belief. In short, if you have little or no confidence in the validity of your chosen or compelled religion, even the existence of alternatives is an unacceptable threat and must be eliminated one way or another. Satanists/Setians feel no such insecurity, because this religion is based on solid premises. The existence, even the prevalence of the profane, is thus a matter of disinterest, or, if considered emotionally, nuisance or pity. Page 153

Again, we see that Satanists do not offer freedom from insecurities, but rather the religion is built so that things like fear and insecurities do not exist. You will not be punished for a mistake, it seems, but rather if you use your free will to do harm to others, then you are on the chopping block.

A second argument, obviously much more fanciful since it requires Biblical or testimonial faith, involves the existence of “miracles”: isolated instances of NL(natural law) violations that would thereby require the interjection of an intelligence superior and external to that NL. Page 158.

Hinduism and Buddhism are cyclical, not linear. The line of time keeps moving onward in a “Great Mandala”, to which souls keep returning in endless up/down reincarnations, until/unless they’re nirvanically-perfect enough to escape it into Eternal Bliss (Ananda). Page 160.

Satanism takes from many different religions, as many religions do. It is still not clear to me if Satanism has linear or cyclical time.

Rather he(Lucifer) was something much more loathsome: an art critic. After El devoted seven days to creating Adam & Eve to fornicate a vast Earthrace, it was Satan who suggested that he had somewhat overestimated his competence and undertook to prove it by tempting everyone from Eve and Jesus to Marilyn and Jack. Page 167.

Satan follows after God, like missionaries follow destruction, never too far behind to plant his seeds.

We can see that the command to love thy neighbour is lost between Palestine and Israel. While both religions have a lot of focus on community, the war that is there has gone beyond the argument of who is the supreme being. The war is waged with hopes that one of the two gods will reign supreme over the other.

Humancarnation

The function of any religion is to explain the existence of Man as a species of life intellectually more versatile than other animals, but still significantly limited by the NL constraints of his physical body. Physics explains Man scientifically, e.g. as a phenomenon completely within the OU and functioning according to NL. Metaphysics includes physics, but adds the aspect of reality beyond OU/NL: the existence and influence of external/superior forces and/or intelligences. Page 175.

Physics

“Consciousness” is nothing more than an electrochemical brain-illusion, and “individual will” may be incidentally discretionary but is for the most part mechanism-need predictable. “Life” is a temporary metabolic synchronicity of the cells constituting a body. Page 176.

This breaks down the human experience to that of physics, making sure that we do not stand above the natural law. We act within the range that our species allows; the biggest difference is our consciousness, compared to that of primates and apes alike.

Metaphysics

The importance of metaphysics is that it adds significance to humans, both individually and collectively, beyond mere survival and reproduction. Page 176.

Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space.

This would be one that Astaroth would hold dominion over. If you decide to go on a metaphysical journey of self-discovery, the guy you want in your corner leading the way would be Astaroth. While you meditate and pray for an answer, metaphysics is working with you. We know we are a bunch of molecules bound by cells that are complex enough to sustain life. This is only a suggestion if you are a part of God’s fandom instead of a religious sect.

Manimal

Judaism and its Christianity & Islam variants require faith-belief in a metaphysical reality, but confine metaphysical presence to the one god El, along with any “angels” and/or “daemons” he creates.

El’s relationship with Man is strictly master/ slave, with the purpose of Man having nothing to do with his evolutionary advancement; his function is simply and strictly obedience. Indeed the point of the Garden of Eden episode in the “Old Testament” is that an Xeper/telos attempt by Man is the most heinous “sin” possible, resulting not only in extreme punishment of Adam & Eve but of all their descendants: the entire human race.

El indeed establishes that he is a “jealous god”! Despite El’s efforts to prevent it – such as the Great Flood and Tower of Babel – civilization has advanced to OU-scientific sophistication in the identification and codification of NL, the same cannot be said of metaphysics.

Much of it, particularly as it involves the mass of humanity, remains under the heel of institutional Judaism/ Christianity/Islam. Straying beyond their ideological doctrines may be ignored in a few more liberal countries as long as it is deemed frivolous and unthreatening – as in “New Age”, Wicca, Neopagan, Native-American, etc. practices – but otherwise will be suppressed as deliberately and ruthlessly as society permits. Page 177-178.

Who wants to be under the whims of someone petty and jealous, when at any point, a previous mistake you make comes back to haunt you? You cannot tell love is a part of the abuse, because you take it in stride, thinking you must sell yourself to be deserving of a reward such as paradise when you can’t even appreciate it.

So many people live in fear that they don’t even get help. Again, they believe asking for outside support is a rejection of God because the embodiment of his power chose free will over compliance aeons ago. I cannot imagine living with that much fear, that every little human slip I make can call down the wrath of God onto me, and to be gaslit against the abuse. You are but a child to God, where are the second chances?

The Christian churches, contrary to the philosophy of Jesus himself, have frequently made their own continuance their chief preoccupation. They have fostered poverty, or indifference to it; they have forced people to look beyond life; they have abused the childish concept of hell and hellfire; they have supported reactionary temporal powers; they have condemned countless innocent pleasures and bred centuries of bigotry; they have set themselves up as refuges and too often taken good care that outside their doors refuge shall be needed. Page 178, a quote by John Fowles.

And this is something that I agree with, so often churches do not abide by God’s law; they are not willing to sacrifice their material wares and their financial savings to help those in need. At this time, there is a woman on social media, probably a few, who call up churches to see if she can get food for someone in need, and gets rejected.

These are the mega-churches that have enough money for a surround sound system for their sermons, but not enough to help those in need. They are the first people to sacrifice something of importance to others; in this example, they sacrifice the well-being of a person in need instead of food or a gift card for a local supermarket.

I think this is where I will end my studies for the day.

A Summary

  • Demons are not actively trying to sway us off the path of grace and righteousness; they want us to use free will and critical thinking.
  • God is petty and jealous, and often takes it out on his followers in the form of bad karma and trials
  • There are different names for the universe, based on your perceptions. There is the Objective Universe and the Subjective Universe

Tomorrow we will pick up on Atheism, and continue our endeavour to understand the enemy, Satan and his followers.

Now that the stories of the divine realm have been expressed, this stuff will be a little more critical than before.
