Lilith Abroad

During a recent trip to Thailand, I discovered more than beautiful Ladyboi. I also discovered that oppression and hardships are global. North of Bangkok is the old or ancient capital, Chang Mai. The day before my arrival it was flooded. Here Lilith revealed herself in the chaos of the recent flooding, she demonstrated compassion and beauty.

It is here she is worshiped as The Mother of Earth, also known as “Phra Mae Thorani or the mother who is squeezing her hair” She is respected and considered the creator of every living thing on this earth. She is also known as the earth’s nurturer.

Lilith as Phra Mae Thorani is lovable towards all the humans as if she is their mother. Feeding all from her nipples and crotch, she demonstrates her motherly aspect. She’s aware of all the merit made from the holy water which comes from her by squeezing her hair.

According to the locals’ beliefs and the history of Buddha, it is said that … At the time when Buddha was doing the act of perseverance before becoming Lord Buddha, Mara Wattawadee and their army came to interfere and say that he owned this throne.

As for Buddha, he called out to Lilith in the name of Phra Mae Thorani to be the witness of his merit. Lilith then appears and squeezes her hair and breasts which then releases all the holy water from every life of the Buddha’s merit. This leads to the defeat of the maras and the becoming of Lord Buddha.

It is another demonstration of how societies across the globe worship Lilith without knowing of other societies’ beliefs.

It was why Lilith drew me to an ancient mountain temple, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. The temple is said to have been founded in 1383 when the first stupa was built. Over time, the temple has expanded, and been made to look more extravagant with many more holy shrines added.

A road to the temple was first built in 1935. Thank Lilith for the road, as I climbed the mountain via a taxi. It was here that I observed several shrines to The Dark Goddess and where she lead me to the Owl, who accompanied me back to Hawaii. Salvete Lamia!

Thank you, Hoku, for this sensitive post … Living in Asia, Thailand is a favorite destination of mine too, though I have never been to Chang Mai (now I must go and experience the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple) — for me it has been mostly Bangkok and Phuket, and then occasionally Krabi, Ko Samui, Pattaya, Phi Phi Islands, and Hua Hin … there’s a lot to see.

I have recently uploaded a story titled “Satanic Tomb Raider” where the final destination was an island off the coast of Myanmar. however, to reach there, my protagonist, Karen Von Kroft, had to travel first to Phuket. So, an “easter egg” in this story (besides her name) is the “Soi Sea Dragon” (the protagonist gets confused between the name of the place with the name of a ship) … “Soi” means little street … and the Soi Sea Dragon is a little street off the main drag of “Walking Street” where all the clubs, bars, sex shows are …

Here’s a link — if you like it and want more — please let me know.
