Sunday Sermon: Misotheism

When we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon than the word of God.

Misotheism is the hatred or loathing of God or religion, in my case the three Abrahamic religions, which are a grouping of major religions together due to their reference to Abraham, a figure mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, the Christian Bible, and the Quran.

Although I have not decided which is greater, my hatred for these religions or the evil conducted by their god. All I know is without them blasphemy would lose its significance. Salvete Lamia.

What is Misotheism?

Misotheism is an attitude immune to reason and dialogue. Those who actively hate God are not inclined to listen to the gospel or anything that disagrees with their prejudice. Misotheism is the “Hatred of God” or “Hatred of the Gods” (from the Greek adjective misotheos “Hating the Gods” or “God-hating” – a compound of hatred and God.
