Satanism is a religion, a philosophy, and an overall way of life. Due to the diverse and frankly overwhelming nature of the left-hand path, many newcomers find it confusing and often get lost within its many doors. I find that Satanism, as it pertains to the individual, must be created by the self.

You must ask simple questions such as “What do I believe? What do I wish to achieve through Satanism? How is this goal going to be reached? Perhaps most importantly, what are the sources of my knowledge coming from?”

The fact is that the left-handed way of life is one hundred percent determined by the individual. Although there are common relations among the different followers of Satanism, they mostly revolve around self-improvement and freedom.

When one enters into Satanism, they often jump, too fast, into the “Cool” or “Exciting” world of demons, magick, and ritual. They miss the very first step that should be taken, which is to build the very foundation of your beliefs, the core that everything else revolves around. You need to sit down and study through books, websites, articles, etc (preferably multiple).

And you need to decide for yourself what you believe, such as “What is Satan to you? What are the demons to you? What is hell to you?”

The king is here to question everything. Be very eclectic in your path, yet steadily changing and shifting it as time goes on to cater to what you wish to accomplish and your moral compass.

That is the essence of what living the Satanic lifestyle is all about. Living and existing based on your ideas of life and religion and living every day based on how you feel you should. Question everything and not bend to the will of others. Satanism gives unto you as you give into it.

I would say to anyone who is lost in this path, or is losing interest and dedication to it — I urge you to sit back — think about what it means to regress to square one, and build up again with an open mind
