The Devil’s Due 3

Sam awoke the next morning, as he always did, about ten minutes before his alarm went off at six am. His waking thought was that the activities of the previous few days were just a dream, an erotic nightmare that no one in their right mind would believe to be reality. The soreness in his hands and right knee, however, confirmed the actions of last night were no apparition. Sam looked to the other side of the king-size bed and saw his wife, Veronica, nude and slumbering quietly, her sexy ass bared in the rising sunlight peeking through the gap in the dark blue curtains that covered the master bedroom window.

He smiled as he recalled the proceedings after the fight with Erickson and following conversation with Veronica. She had done what he had asked, what he had in effect demanded. She had stripped the bed of the sheets and comforter where she had laid with Erickson while Sam laid dying in the desert then disposed of the linens in the trash receptacle. Veronica then scrubbed herself of Johnny’s stench in the shower for a good thirty minutes, cleansing herself of any remnant of the hulking adulterer that Sam had vanquished.

Veronica had not only showered, but she also dried and styled her blazing red hair, reapplied her makeup and spritzed herself with Sam’s favorite perfume. She covered the bed with new clean sheets and a different comforter, then defied Sam slightly as she put on a pair of black stilettos that accentuated her legs and ass as she stood and was sure to drive her husband wild in bed. She then laid down on the fresh bedding and waited for Sam to come into the room.

Sam took his time finishing his first scotch on ice then poured one more. He felt sufficiently tipsy after the first stiff drink and the two previous beers, but he wanted to make sure his buzz would remain for a while. After nursing the last drink for twenty more minutes, Sam took the last swallow then rose from his seat at the dining room table. On slightly wobbly legs, he made his way through the kitchen and living room then climbed the steps to his second-floor bedroom where he assumed Veronica was waiting for him.

His assumption was correct and his vision, minusculely blurred by alcohol and exhaustion, made out the image of Veronica laying seductively on the bed, nude except for a shiny pair of black heels on her feet and a devilish smile painted on her face. Sam felt his erection immediately grow and tent the black tuxedo pants he had been gifted by Phineas, his impish savior. Removing his new clothes, Sam’s hardness became prominent in Veronica’s sight, lit by three scented candles on the headboard.

“Sam!” Veronica gasped as she peered at her husband’s engorged member. “Is that really… I mean… It’s… Big! I’ve never seen you so… so big!”

Sam looked down at his stiffening manhood and grinned. Lilith had also given him a gift, one that he had shared with it and now proposed to share with and reclaim his sexy wife. “Too much for you?” he asked her with a quick wink.

“Well, no,” Veronica stammered, never taking her eyes off the pole that led Sam’s way into the bedroom. “It’s just… Did you take a bunch of blue pills or something?”

“Let’s say it was a gift and leave it at that,” Sam replied and stepped toward her. Veronica knee-walked on the bed and met Sam at the edge. He said nothing, only allowed her to take his rigid cock into her mouth. He pushed forward slightly and made sure he reached the back of her throat. He felt Veronica involuntarily swallow and knew that he was touching the spot where her tonsils would be if she hadn’t had them surgically removed when she was a child. Sam moved back and Veronica drew in a heavy breath when her larynx and mouth emptied. She grasped his shaft and began to pump him while swirling her tongue and lips over his bulbous head.

After the mind-blowing sex session with Lilith, Sam thought he could pound Veronica’s slickness forever and he was eager to find out. He slipped out of Veronica’s fist then turned her around on the bed, her curvaceous ass inviting him to enter. He laid his fully engorged dick on her ass then tapped lightly with it before finding her pink slit and sliding himself all the way into her in one stroke.

Veronica cried out in a mixture of pleasure and discomfort as Sam filled her completely. He began to work in and out of her and felt himself hitting her tight cervix. Sam pulled all the way out of Veronica’s stretched opening then slammed back in. Veronica cried out with each thrust. Sam was reclaiming her, but he was not making love to her. Sam was fucking his cheating wife with fury and planned to take every part of her.

“Sam… Oh, God… It’s… I can’t take it anymore…” Veronica struggled to make herself heard between her own panting and Sam’s punishing thrusts. She grasped the bedspread and sheets with both hands then bit down on the comforter to stifle her passionate screams. Sam felt her inner contractions as his wife came hard on his large shaft. She thrashed on their marital bed as her pleasure waves tore through her trembling body. As her orgasm subsided, she swept her red hair from her face and took a deep breath. But Sam was not finished with her.

Veronica’s conquering husband slipped out of her temporarily then flipped her on her back. Grabbing both ankles, Sam thrust both of her legs apart and up, pointing her four-inch heels to the stucco ceiling. He slid himself into her once more and started anew his pummeling of her pussy, now flashing red and swollen from the workout. Sam felt Veronica’s legs shiver as her body let go once more and she placed an exclamation point on her second wild orgasm of the night by squirting on Sam’s crotch and the bed underneath her, a first for her.

As Sam felt Veronica let go with her wetness, he felt his own fluids rise and prepared to unleash his manly torrent deep inside her. Just before his orgasm washed over him, he reached down and grasped Veronica by the throat. Not intending to cut off her air supply, he pushed his thumb and index finger on either side of her neck, applying pressure and slightly constricting the blood flow from her carotids. They had learned that this intensified her orgasms twice over and Sam felt Veronica’s third throe like he had touched a downed power line. They climaxed together in deadly bliss then Sam collapsed on top of her, his face resting between her ample C cups.

He said nothing as he removed himself from her well-used slit. Sam heard Veronica moan once more as his flaccidity slipped from her. She attempted to catch her breath as Sam climbed from her. Eyes slammed closed; she did not see the smirk on her husband’s face as he stood. Nor did she hear the slight chuckle as Sam walked to the attached bathroom to clean himself of their conjoined fluids. He had won the battle and claimed the spoils.

Now, a scant five hours later, a groggy Sam Bailey took one more glance and his worn-out sleeping wife then exited the bedroom to wander downstairs to get his day started. As he neared the top of the steps, he smelled the distinct odor of brewing coffee. He wondered if Veronica had set the timer on the machine to automatically start. Running a hand through his dark brown hair, he traversed the stairs downward and made his way through the main level to the kitchen to grab a mug from the cupboard.

Entering the galley kitchen, Sam was startled by the image of a man at the stove cooking eggs. He jumped back and yelped. “Jesus!”

“Nope,” Phineas said as he turned and smiled at Sam with a pancake turner in his hand, “just me. And I’m a better cook than him. Hope you slept well, Sammy. How do you like your eggs?”

“Any way you’d like to make them,” Sam said, his heart beating fast, “but I’d prefer to sit and eat them without soiled pajama pants. You scared the shit out of me!”

Phineas laughed heartily then continued scrambling Sam’s breakfast. “You did real good last night, Sam. Showed that big bastard who was boss ’round here. But you didn’t finish him off. Why not?”

“I could have,” Sam admitted, “but I think I like the way I handled it better. He’ll remember this. And maybe he’ll think twice about trying to take another man’s wife again, although I don’t think he’s that smart. I expect to see him again after he’s had time to lick his wounds.”

“You think he’s thinkin’ you probably got lucky last night?” Phineas asked as he dashed some pepper into the mixture on the burner. “Well, lemme clue you in, Sam- There’s no such thing as luck. You had some help from the boss, but most of what happened last night was all you.”

“No way,” Sam rejected Phineas’ statement. “Without your… Lilith’s… whoever’s help there would have been no way I could have taken him apart like that. He’s twice my size and a whole lot meaner.”

“There you go again,” Phineas countered, “doubting yourself. You know, Sam, you can do anything, if you set your mind to it. Which brings me to my next subject.”

“And that would be?” Sam asked as he poured a cup of java and sat on the nearest stool in the breakfast nook.

“Why, the next step in the plan, of course,” Phineas stated as if Sam should have known all along.”

“And what’s the next step?” Sam asked his follow up question.

“You’re gonna quit that dead-end job of yours and run for office,” Phineas told him. “Do it today, Sam. No sense wasting time. Then, when you’re done, you’ll meet with the boss again. At midnight tonight.”

“The politics thing again?” Sam asked rhetorically. “I don’t know why you think I’d be a good candidate or politician. I can barely keep up with what’s going on at my job. Which, by the way, I really need. No one’s going to pay me to campaign.”

“O, ye of little faith,” Phineas quoted then piled heaps of scrambled eggs on two plates. “You got your smartphone on you?”

Sam fished into the pocket of his lounge pants and produced his device. He said nothing, only flashed it in Phineas’ direction.

“Check your bank account,” the devil’s servant said as he buttered two slices of toast.

“What the fuck?!” Sam exclaimed as he stared at the small screen. “Where did…? How did all this money get in my account?!”

“Consider it an interest-free, payment-free loan,” Phineas said as he sat one plate in front of Sam then another at Veronica’s setting. “Say, does your wife like orange juice?”

“Yeah… she does…” Sam said absent-mindedly. He continued looking at the phone and the account balance it displayed. “Won’t they check to see where this came from? The campaign finance commission, I mean?”

“There’s always a way around the system, Sam,” Phineas said as he poured a juice glass full of orange liquid. “You think every politician reveals where he got every cent he spends on getting elected? There’re tons of dirty money running through Washington, Sam. Just as much through Gravel City. But we have ways of… cleaning it up.”

“So, you want me to run for president?” Sam asked his new breakfast preparer.

“Not right off,” Phineas responded. “A local office to start, then mayor of Ol’ GC. Whaddya think, Sam? You want to be mayor of the Rock?”

“Mayor Bailey does have a nice ring to it…” Sam declared.

“What?” a voice came from the kitchen doorway. “Sam, what did you say? Are you on the phone?” Veronica, stirred from her sexual slumber had come downstairs unbeknownst to Sam as he pondered aloud. Sam looked around and saw that Phineas had vanished once again.

“No,” Sam lied, “I was just kinda talking to myself… making plans…”

“I hope I’m back in those plans, lover,” Veronica said as she sidled up to her reconnected husband and kissed his stubbly cheek. “You made breakfast! And OJ! I didn’t even know we had any juice! Thank you, sweetie!”

“My pleasure,” Sam stated as he looked once more at the balance staring back at him from his cellular device. He had the funds, he had the support of a powerful backing conglomerate, now he needed the time to put the plans in motion. It was 7:18am. Work started at eight. He would be fashionably late today.

“Sam!” Jeanette, his personal assistant cried when he strolled into the office three ticks past 9:30am. “Sam, we were all so worried about you when you didn’t come in on Monday!” Jeanette breached the worker-boss etiquette by embracing Sam in a loving hug. Jeanette was a great P.A, Sam thought, but was even better eye candy. Every one of the one hundred sixty-two men that worked in the auto parts manufacturing plant known as Devington Industries found an excuse to come to Sam’s office at least once a week to catch a glimpse of his well-built secretary. It was one of the few perks of the job. Sam’s loins stirred at Jeanette’s touch and lustful thoughts raced through his head.

“Nothing to worry about, Jeannie,” Sam said as he returned the brickhouse of a woman’s hug. It was his turn to breach the employer-employee line as he kissed her forehead and lightly patted her on the butt. Jeanette’s eyes widened at the tap to her backside, but she said nothing as she continued to hold her boss of seven years.

“Sam, where have you been?!” She asked as she stepped back from her immediate supervisor.

“Getting a new lease on life, Jeannie,” Sam answered. He was the only one that got away with calling her Jeannie. She did not even allow her mother to call her by that name, but it sounded right coming from Sam. “I see the place didn’t fall apart without me.”

“Well, not really,” Jeanette revealed. “But there’s a stack of paperwork on your desk that’s nearly a week overdue and Devington wants your head on a platter.”

“Bailey!” a shout came from outside the open office door. William Devington III, Sam’s boss and owner of the company, stood staring at his plant manager and Sam’s personal assistant. Short, balding, obese and dressed in an ill-fitting grey three-piece suit and nauseating striped tie, the interminable warehouse owner stared daggers into the two as he commanded their attention.

“Well, speak of the devil,” Sam mused. “Well, not really,” he added knowingly.

“Just where the hell have you been, Bailey?!” the rumpled man boomed throughout the back-office area. “No call, no show for three days then you stroll in here like you own the place?” He placed his chubby hands on his wide hips and leered at his subordinate. “Well, I own the place and I demand an explanation!”

Sam looked at the older man who was red-faced from shouting and a vein beginning to protrude from his ample forehead and smiled. “Relax, Willie,” Sam said then went to his desk to put his feet up. Jeanette’s gorgeous mouth went slack at Sam’s common address for their employer.

“What did you just call me, Bailey?!” Devington screamed.

“A lot better than you deserve,” Sam snapped, his face partially obscured by his shoes perched on top of his desk. “You know, you’re a real piece of work, Willie. When’s the last time you gave anyone a raise around here? Or a bonus? Or even a kind word? You’re the reason the retention rate here is hovering around fifty percent.”

“48.7%” Jeanette corrected.

“Watch your mouth, missy!” Devington growled at her and shook his index finger.

“Oh, watch yours, fat boy,” Sam spoke up. “She’s the only reason you have any workers left here. You don’t run this place. Hell, neither do I. She does, and you know it. But that’s about to change.”

“Oh, really?” Devington said folding his arms to his chest.

“Yeah, really,” Sam repeated his words. “You see, I’m done with this shithole. I have bigger ambitions than this place. So, you don’t have to go through the hassle of firing me. I quit.”

Jeanette gasped at Sam’s parting declaration. “Sam, do you think that’s the best thing for you right now? You know, after your…” She alluded to his mental breakdown of the year prior.

“I have a new lease on life, Jeannie,” Sam answered, ignoring his former boss in the room. “I’m going to run for public office, and I want you to be my right-hand man, so to speak. I’ll double your salary here today if you say yes right now.”

“You? Run for office?” Devington said with a chuckle. “You’ll never get off the starting line. And if you do, I’ll make sure you lose and lose big. I have considerable influence in this state, you know.”

“Hit me with your best shot, Willie,” Sam dared the pudgy older man. “But be careful. Things are not always as they seem. Jeannie, what do you say?”

Jeanette looked at Sam then at the owner of the dirty parts plant. She set her sparkling eyes back to Sam and made her choice. “I’d be honored, Mr. Bailey. Mr. Devington, I cheerfully resign my position.”

“Great!” Sam said with a clap of his hands. “Come to the house tonight around eight. I’ll fill you in on the plan over dinner.” Sam cocked his arm out and Jeanette slipped hers in the opening he created. “See ya ’round, Willie,” Sam said over his shoulder as he and the gorgeous strawberry blonde walked lockstep out of the office and down the hall to the elevator that would transport them to the exit of the plant. Devington said nothing as he watched them walk away arm-in-arm. His eyes went wide as the couple entered the elevator car, turned around, then simultaneously flipped the gruff little man the bird.

“Sam, do you think that the best… I mean, quitting your job,” Veronica asked her husband after he left his position at the auto parts plant and returned home later that evening. “I know we have a few dollars saved but… But running for office? Where did that come from?”

“From my overwhelming sense of public service,” Sam said sarcastically. “Come on, Ronnie. This could be big for me. I don’t want to be stuck in a dead-end job doing the same old thing day in and day out. And holding public office can be very lucrative, if you have the proper backing.”

“Sam,” Veronica said as she placed her hand over his, “what do you know about running for office, or politics for that matter? You don’t even watch the news!”

“So, maybe I don’t know a lot about it yet,” he admitted. “But these people I met, they really believe in me, and they want to back me. City councilman is just the start.”

“And why hire Jeanette to help you?” Veronica asked, a hint of jealousy in her tone. “What does she know about running a campaign?”

“What she lacks in experience, she makes up for with intelligence and determination,” Sam answered. “She virtually ran that plant without a lick of knowledge when she started. She’s damn smart and knows how to get things done. She’s the perfect choice to help get me elected.”

“Did you have to invite her over for dinner though?” Veronica mused. There was no love lost between the two women since the Christmas party three years prior when Veronica drank more egg nog than she should have and accused Jeanette of having designs on her husband. The night ended with Jeanette declaring that Veronica should spend more nights at home than out with “the girls,” and Veronica’s palm and painted nails swiping across the secretary’s right cheek.

“We need to go over strategy,” Sam responded. “It’s September- going to be tough to get on the ballot this time around. But if anyone can figure out a way, it’s Jeanette. And I want all of us to get along, so be on your best behavior, understand?”

“Yes, Sam,” Veronica obeyed. After the events of the previous night, Veronica had fallen into step. “Dinner will be ready any moment. The chicken and rice dish you like.”

“Mmmmmm… Sounds good,” Sam stated. “Jeannie will like it too. Make sure the wine is chilled.” Veronica retreated to the kitchen to finish preparing the meal as the doorbell chimed. Sam stood from the couch and let his old/new assistant in.

“Hey,” Sam said as he invited Jeanette in, “there’s the best-looking campaign manager in Gravel City!” He embraced her then kissed her cheek. “Come on in and have a seat. Dinner should be ready in a few minutes.”

Jeanette, still dressed in her work attire of silky purple blouse and black skirt walked to the couch and sat on the middle cushion. Sam sat snugly next to her and took her hand. “So, what did you find out downtown?”

“Well,” Jeanette started, “technically, you can still get on the ballot. But the people at the registration office said it’s pretty unlikely that you’d be elected this time, Sam. There are four spots available on the city council and you’re the twelfth person to declare his or her candidacy. The others have a two-month head start. And there’s a debate in two weeks. You’re really going to have to cram for this, Sam.”

“Dinner’s ready, dear,” Veronica said as she entered the living room and spied her husband and his employee sitting precariously close to each other. “Oh, hello Jeanette. I didn’t hear you come in.”

“Jeannie, you remember Veronica?” Sam asked, not letting go of his couch partner’s hand.

“How could I forget?” Jeanette replied as she lightly touched her cheek where Veronica had struck her at the holiday gala.

“Come, ladies,” Sam interjected as he helped Jeanette from the sofa, “let us forget past transgressions and talk about the future. I think you’re both going to like this.”

++++++++++

“I’ve already spoken with the printers to whip us up some yard signs, bumper stickers, buttons, t-shirts…” Jeanette told her host couple as she sipped her second glass of wine.

“Hats too, Jeannie,” Sam added. “People love hats. But not those awful red ones like…”

“They’re white with blue lettering,” Jeanette interrupted, “just like the signs. The logo is magnificent, if I do say so myself.”

“You’re magnificent,” Sam declared as he kissed her cheek once again. Veronica excused herself from the dining room and took the last of the dishes to the kitchen to seethe in green-eyed jealousy.

“I don’t think she’s going to get used to the two of us working so closely on this campaign, Sam,” Jeanette stated.

“She’ll get used to it,” Sam rebuffed then took a long swill from his wine goblet. “Things are different around here now, Jeannie. You’ll see.”

“Sam,” Jeanette followed up, “that story you told me about where you were and why you were gone so long. Was that true?”

Sam had told Jeanette about Veronica’s infidelity and his subsequent beating at the hands of her lover and friends. He did not tell her about his rescue from the desert by the demon servant Phineas nor did he impart to her the meeting with Lilith and the unorthodox deal he had struck with it.

“Yep, woke up a day later on the other side of town in a dumpster out back of the strip club,” Sam lied. “I was just glad it wasn’t trash pickup day! I limped away from there and checked myself in to the nearest motel for a couple days to heal up. Still got a bit of a lump on my head. Wanna feel it?” he asked knowing she would not.

“No!” Jeanette cried as she leaned back in her chair. “But did you really kick that guy’s ass two days later?”

“Ask Ronnie,” Sam told her, “She was here when it all went down. But we’re past that now. The balance of power has shifted. How about a little demonstration? Ronnie, could you come in here, please?”

Veronica wandered slowly into the dining room and stood at the far end of the table. “Veronica, dear, would you do something for me?”

“Of course, love,” the redhead answered obediently.

“Ronnie,” Sam continued, “Would you please remove your dress and come stand between Jeannie and I?”

Veronica’s head cocked slightly like a dog who heard a strange noise. “Sam, you want me to…”

“I want you to take your dress off and come here,” Sam repeated. Veronica took one more second for thought then unzipped the back of her garment and let it fall to the floor revealing her matching black bra and thong. Jeanette’s eyes widened as Sam’s wife hesitantly walked to the other side of the table and stood between the two seated occupants.

“Very beautiful, isn’t she?” Sam asked Jeanette. His new campaign manager did not reply, only stared at the half naked woman as her employer continued. “It’s time for all of us to put the past behind us. We’re going to be working closely, Jeannie. All of us. Let’s celebrate our future together. The three of us.”

Sam leaned in and kissed Jeanette, not on the cheek, but full on the lips and passionately. Jeanette was surprised but did not pull away. Veronica stood in her undergarments and watched her husband lip wrestle with his former secretary and new political assistant. She knew this was penance for her infidelities of the past and she stood in raging silence.

Sam broke the kiss and peered into Jeanette’s eyes. “I know you’ve wanted that for a long time, Jeannie. That and much more. But I’m a married man and won’t break my vows by cheating on her with you. That’s why she’s going to join us. Veronica,” Sam said while twirling his index finger in her vicinity, “the bra and panties too?”

Veronica, resigned to her place, said nothing and dutifully removed the last of her clothing and stood completely nude in front of Jeanette.

“Sam, I don’t…” Jeanette began but Sam stopped her words with another kiss. “Veronica is completely on board with this, isn’t that right, dear?” he said looking up at his nude spouse.

Veronica did not verbally respond but nodded slightly, a defeated look on her face.

“And she’s very sorry for what happened at that party a while back, isn’t that right, dear?”

Veronica answered in a dazed sort of voice, “Yes… very sorry…”

“There,” Sam declared as he stood from his seat, “you see? We’re all friends again.” He took Veronica by one hand then Jeanette by the other and led them from the dining room up the stairs to the master bedroom. When the trio reached the room, Sam sat Jeanette on the bed then turned to speak to his wife.

“Veronica, please go to the guest bedroom and wait for me to come get you. I have something to discuss with Jeannie before we begin.”

Veronica nodded again then walked naked from the room. Sam watched her go then shut the door. “Mmmmm… Just love to watch her walk away,” he said, thinking out loud. “Now, Jeannie, I hope you’re on board with all this. I know I kind of dropped all this on you, and it really crosses the employer-employee line. Human Resources would have a fit with this, if we had an HR department.”

“We’ll have to look into getting some people hired for those kinds of issues,” Jeanette replied as she stood from her seat on the bed. “I guess it’s no secret that I’ve wanted you for a long time, Sam. And I did go to an all-girls college, so being with another woman isn’t exactly new to me. But Veronica…”

“Veronica will be just fine,” Sam cut her off. “I haven’t decided just yet what I’m going to do about her. She hurt me and she will feel the pain I felt. My new backers and I will see to that.”

“Who are these ‘new backers’, Sam?” Jeanette asked. “Three days out of the loop and now you have powerful new friends? What happened to you out there?”

“I’ll tell you all about it when we go to meet them later tonight,” Sam said as he began to remove his shirt. “We have an appointment with them in about…” Sam checked the time on his smartwatch, “Two hours and forty minutes. In the meantime, I think we should have some fun, don’t you?” Sam continued to undress until he stood nude in front of Jeanette, his cock standing at attention.

“Damn!” Jeanette said as she stared at his manhood. “If I’d have known you were… I mean, if I known it was that… Damn!”

Sam closed the gap between he and Jeanette, and she wrapped her hand around his hard-on when he came close enough. Sam undressed his assistant until she, too, wore not a stitch. He removed her hand from his prominence and gave her an order. “Go get Veronica. Bring her to us.”

Sam waited while Jeanette left the room. Thirty seconds later, two gorgeous nude women appeared in his sight. Veronica’s eyes went to Sam’s erection then to the floor. She knew what he had in mind, and she also knew she had to do what he wanted. She had fucked up. Royally. For a long time and now it was time to try to make up for her cheating past.

Jeanette stood a step behind Veronica, the blonde beauty as nude and alluring as the redhead in front of her. Sam looked at her sexy form and felt just a bit of pity for all the guys at the plant that wished they could be him right now. He reached over and took Jeanette by the hand, leading her to the bed and propping her against the headboard, two pillows helping to make her comfortable.

“Veronica,’ Sam said turning to his wife, “I want you to get on the bed and lick Jeannie’s pussy until she cums, OK?”

“Sam,” Veronica said just above a whisper, “I don’t… I’ve never done that before… I don’t know if I…”

Sam took Veronica by the shoulders and placed her on the bed in front of Jeanette. The sexy secretary instinctively opened her legs, inviting Veronica to her. Sam spied a landing strip of honey-colored wisps above Jeanette’s slickening slit and the anticipation sent him into overdrive. Veronica’s first hesitant swipe of Jeanette’s swelling clitoris made the receiving blonde jump slightly and she moaned her approval.

Veronica went to work on Jeanette’s pink nub and developed a rhythm, devouring her the way she liked to be. It wasn’t long before Jeanette began to shake uncontrollably as her orgasm exploded inside her. She pushed Veronica’s head back as she came, and Sam saw Jeanette’s creamy offering escape her and trickle down in thick white droplets to the blue comforter. Veronica backed up and wiped her chin of Jeanette’s wetness.

“How was that?” Sam asked his wife, his hand pumping his hard shaft in eagerness of his turn with his sexy new campaign manager.

Veronica surprisingly smiled as she looked up at her husband, “She tastes… so good! I loved it, Sam! Thank you!”

Sam was taken aback at his wife’s declaration. “Y-you did?”

“Yes, Sam. I did,” Veronica professed. “Can I do it again, please?”

Sam’s head began to spin at his wife’s new appreciation for the female form. He would not have believed it if he hadn’t seen and heard it himself. “Of course, you can, my dear,” he allowed. Sam took Jeanette’s hand and placed her on her hands and knees, her beautiful ass pointed at his straining cock. Veronica did not wait for Sam’s permission. She slid underneath Jeanette, her feet touching the bed’s headboard and her mouth creating a seal around her new Sapphic lover’s throbbing button.

Jeanette bent her head down and took Veronica’s wet gash in her own mouth, reciprocating the redhead’s pleasure. Sam watched the two sixty-nine for about a minute then stuffed his rock-hard pole deep into Jeanette’s inviting depths. Veronica felt Sam enter Jeanette then shot her tongue toward his swinging scrotum, licking his sack each time it neared her face.

“Fuck, Sam!” Jeanette cried out as he dominated her hot cunt. “Oh, God, fuck me!” she cried, reveling in the pleasure of the dual attention she was receiving, Sam deep inside her, Veronica’s mouth nibbling her clit. Sam grabbed Jeanette’s hips and thrust forward as he prepared to unleash himself inside her. He felt Jeanette’s orgasmic contractions two seconds before his own and the two climaxed harmoniously, their combined fluids leaking though the penetration and sliding into Veronica’s mouth. She greedily lapped up the lovers’ double offering then bucked her hips as her body convulsed in sexual delight.

Sam wiped the sweat from his brow as he removed himself from Jeanette. More of Sam and Jeanette’s fluids seeped out then gushed into Veronica’s mouth, her lips and chin covered in sticky goodness. She swallowed what they had to offer then slid from underneath Sam’s gorgeous employee.

“That was… Wow!” Veronica declared. “Sam we should have done that a long time ago!” She turned to Jeanette and apologized, “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry about what happened at that party. I hope that made up for it a little.”

Jeanette leaned forward and kissed Veronica, licking the redhead’s lips of her and Sam’s combination. “I never had sex with Sam before today, Veronica. But I have fantasized about it. And I’m glad we were able to clear the air between us. I hope we can do it again soon.” She smiled then licked another trail of wetness from Veronica’s cheek.

“As much as I’d like that to happen again tonight,” Sam interposed, “Jeannie and I have an appointment in a little while. Veronica, why don’t you hop in the shower and get cleaned up. Get some rest. We’ll be back as soon as we can and maybe we’ll see about a repeat performance.” He strode to the walk-in closet and found his favorite grey suit and black tie to change into. Jeanette redressed as Veronica started the shower in the connecting bathroom.

“Do I look OK for this meeting, Sam?” Jeanette said as she attempted to fix her disheveled hair. “I want to look presentable for… For wherever we’re… Whoever we’re… Where are we going, Sam?

“You look marvelous, Jeannie” Sam said as he straightened his tie in the mirror. “Just don’t ask a lot of questions about where we’re going and who we’re going to see. All will be revealed soon enough.”

A waning crescent moon shone dimly in the cool late September sky above the circular clearing behind the roadside park. Jeanette shivered slightly as the chill seeped through her skin. Sam noticed her involuntary shake and removed his suit jacket to drape over her shoulders for some warmth. Jeanette crossed her arms and basked in Sam’s residual body heat. Her breath blew out in noticeable fog before she spoke.

“This is where we’re meeting… whoever we’re meeting tonight?”

“That’s what he told me,” Sam answered and said nothing more. The previous meeting with Phineas and his overlord, Lilith, had happened so quickly that Sam had not had much time to think about what might happen. But he had hours to think about this one. And now Jeanette would be privy to the conversation and the deal that was struck days before. He wondered what she would think of all that had transpired. Would she even believe the images her eyes would reveal to her? Sam did his best to hide his outward nervousness from his new campaign manager, but his own shiver was evident as the two stood waiting for the summit to begin.

“Sam,” Jeanette started again, “what happened earlier tonight. With you and me and Veronica…

“It was part of the plan, Jeannie,” Sam revealed. “I needed to see how far she’d go. If she really was ready to atone for her sins. But, trust me, the best part of it was you and I together.” Neither said anything further until a third joined them abruptly.

Both Sam and Jeanette jumped in their own skin when Phineas announced his presence. “Well, hello, Sammy Boy! Hope you haven’t been waiting long! And who’s this lovely young lady?”

“Phineas,” Sam began as his heart continued to pound in his chest after the scare, “may I introduce you to Jeanette Akers, my new campaign chief. Jeannie, this is Phineas. He’s… one of the people we’re her to meet.”

Phineas took Jeanette’s hand and kissed the back of it just above her fingers. “A pleasure, ma’am,” Phineas declared as he held her digits a second longer. “Campaign chief?! Well, Sam, it sounds like you’re on board with the deal we made. Fantastic! The boss will be very pleased. So, you left that job then?”

“Yes,” Sam responded as he put an arm around Jeanette’s waist, “we both resigned our positions this morning. And we solidified our new partnership afterward.”

“So I’ve heard,” Phineas disclosed. “And that’s what the boss would like to speak with you about, Sam. You also, Miss Akers. Shall we go now?”

“We’re not having the meeting here?” Jeanette questioned the white-suited stranger.

“No, ma’am,” Phineas replied with a gleaming smile. “But we may return here later if the boss decides that we need a change of setting. Shall we go?”

Sam took Jeanette’s hand a second before the inevitable blink of the dark man’s eyelids whisked the trio to the familiar cave/conference room where Sam had attended his first meeting with the demon executive he had come to know as Lilith. The carved-out room was nearly the same as before but now Sam spied two chairs on the far end of the table where one had sat before. Lilith, dressed precisely as she was for their first meeting, was perched on the corner of the alabaster table facing the cave entrance and rose from her seat as she saw the three beings enter.

“Welcome back, Mr. Bailey,” it addressed Sam as it walked to where they stood. “And Miss Akers, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’ve been monitoring your progress with Sam for some time now. And from what I’ve seen, you two work very well together.” Lilith smiled knowingly then beckoned with a sweep of its hand for them to sit at the conference table.

“Jeannie,” Sam said as they sat, “this is Lilith, our benefactor. The founder of the feast if you like.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Lilith,” Jeanette said hesitantly, “but how did we get here? One minute we were standing in a field freezing then the next we were here. I don’t believe in magic so this must be a dream.”

“‘Magic’ may not be the correct term,” Lilith declared, “And believe me, this is not a dream. This is a business meeting. But there will be some entertainment later. Now, Sam, I see you’re on the ballot for city council. Good start for a newcomer. But we’ll be expecting more, and soon. In six months, there will be a recall election for mayor of Gravel City. Sam’s name will be prominent all over town to win that race.”

“That’s a pretty quick turnaround,” Jeanette argued. “No one even knows who Sam is yet, outside of Devington. And the current mayor is just this side of a saint! A recall election? That doesn’t seem very likely.”

“Sam is going to shine at that debate in two weeks, Jeannie,” Lilith countered then asked rhetorically, “May I call you Jeannie? After that debate, Sam will win that seat in a walk. Four days later, a reporter at the GC Gazette will receive an anonymous tip that the good mayor of Gravel City has accepted bribes from certain companies in exchange for lucrative building and infrastructure contracts. There will also be allegations of marital infidelities- pretty nasty stuff that will make the public question the choice they made in Mr. Mayor.”

“But Sam has participated in marital infidelities too,” Jeanette said a bit sheepishly. “Very recently, I might add. What’s to stop anyone from doing to him what you’re planning to do to the mayor?”

We’re to stop it.” Lilith said sternly. “Miss Akers, it’s time you realized who we are and what we can do for Sam. If you’re going to be on this winning team, then you need to learn to trust us and our operatives. We and they have powers that, quite frankly, you need to see to believe. Perhaps it’s time we showed you.”

At Lilith’s word, the floor to the right of the setting began to blaze yellow in a circular glow. A figure began to materialize in the circle. Sam was used to seeing things just appear instantly and he reasoned that Lilith was dragging out the reveal for effect. When the figure fully materialized, Sam and Jeanette saw a disoriented Veronica standing barefoot on the stone floor, the silky robe that Sam had asked her to throw out draped over her form and cinched at the waist.

Veronica looked around the cave to try to get her bearings then spotted Sam standing behind his stone chair. “Sam? What…Where am I? What’s going on? How did I…”

“You see, Miss Akers,” Lilith interrupted Sam’s wife’s incoherent musing, “some people are assets to Sam’s progress, such as yourself, and then there are creatures,” it waved its hand in Veronica’s direction, “that would impede that progress. Those creatures need to be removed, as swiftly and quietly as possible. This one will be the first to be removed from our path.”

Just as Veronica had appeared, another object began to materialize, this time on the alabaster table. A curved dagger, ancient and gleaming in the light of the fiery torches, emerged from the ether. Lilith picked up the razor-sharp knife then walked to Sam and held the blade out to him to take.

“Time for that payback we talked about,” it said to him as it placed the black stone handle in Sam’s hand. “You might be interested to know that the dagger you’re holding is the same one Brutus used to kill Julius Caesar. Now, remember what Phineas said to you before? ‘Take care of business’.” Lilith looked at Veronica and frowned, “Sam told you to throw that out with the bedding.” Lilith snapped its fingers and Veronica’s robe flew off her body, leaving her standing naked in the cavernous conference room.

“Y-you want me to…” Sam stammered as he turned the dagger over in his hand.

“I want you to plunge that knife into her cold callous heart, Sam,” Lilith stated plainly. “I told you before, we can give you the means to get your vengeance, but you must perform the deed. There she is, Sam. The stony bitch that fucked around on you with another man then had you beaten within an inch of your existence. She’s a liability and she must be removed for our plan to proceed.”

“Lilith, I…” Sam sputtered again, “I’ve never killed anything in my life! I… I don’t know if I can…”

“She’s standing there pregnant with another man’s child, Sam!” Lilith roared, a bit of fire beginning to glow in her eyes. “Do you think that’s going to go over well with the voters?! She’s defenseless and totally immobilized.” Veronica had been struggling to move but found her feet seemingly glued to the floor and her arms limp at her sides. “Do it!” it bellowed.

Sam took a step forward and stood face to face with his trembling wife. “Sam, please!” Veronica pleaded with her husband, “Please don’t do this! I didn’t mean for any of this to happen! I love you!”

Sam looked at the blade reflecting the torches fire then back at Veronica. “You hurt me, Ronnie. More than anyone in my life, you hurt me. I’ve tried to forgive you, but I’ll never forget what you had done to me. I’m sorry, but…” Sam put the blade to Veronica’s left breast. The sharp point of the dagger pierced her skin slightly and a trickle of blood ran down her middle. Sam tried to slip the knife further into Veronica’s body, but he found that his arm and hand that held the weapon would move no further.

Sam looked back and saw Lilith and Phineas standing together at the table waiting for the blow to be struck. He was about to lower the dagger and tell his benefactors that he could not complete the sacrifice when he felt a hand take the knife from him and he watched horrified as Jeanette drove the blade into Veronica’s chest to the hilt. Veronica’s eyes went wide as the sharp metal found its mark and impaled her pumping heart. She fell to the floor silently, the dagger still protruding from her bleeding torso.

“Thank you, Miss Akers,” Lilith said as if Jeanette had merely held a door open for it. “I had a feeling Sam wouldn’t be able to finish what needed to be done. We made the right choice in trusting you to have his back.”

Jeanette flashed anger in her eyes as she demurred, “I didn’t do it for you! I did it for him! His conscience can stay clear now. His hands are clean!”

“However it has to be, Miss Akers,” Lilith responded flatly. She then turned to her servant to give him his orders for the night. “Phineas, please remove that and take it back to the clearing for our friends to dispose of. I’m sure they’ll be very grateful for the meal.”

Phineas tipped his white bowler then vanished along with Veronica’s corpse. Sam stood staring at the spot where his wife had died moments before, his mind swirling in disbelief. “Jeanette,” he finally spoke, “Why did you do it?”

“Because I knew you wouldn’t,” she answered. “And now if anything comes up you can truly say you had nothing to do with it. But the biggest reason is that I love you, Sam and I’d do anything to be with you and to see you happy and successful.”

“Very touching, Miss Akers,” Lilith said as it sat back down in her chair at the center table. “And, trust me, he feels the same about you. But let’s not let emotions get in the way of our plans. Now the work really begins. Sam, when you return home, you’ll find a note written in Veronica’s handwriting telling you that she’s leaving you for her lover, which isn’t exactly a lie since that’s what she was planning to do all along, even after you returned. Her belongings will have been removed from your home.”

“Miss Akers,” Lilith continued, “although you may want to visit Sam at his home, discretion is the better part of many other things besides valor. We must keep up appearances. Mr. Bailey is a jilted husband and that will play well with the electorate, especially the women voters that eat that stuff up. Sam is handsome, intelligent and single. Let’s keep it that way for a while.”

“What about Erickson?” Sam asked. “At some point, he’s going to come looking for Veronica. He could be trouble if he talked.”

“He might,” Lilith replied, “but who would believe that little ol’ you would be able to kick the shit out of a guy as big as him? Anyway, we have plans for him and his associates to keep them out of the way. Now, it’s time to say good night. Sam, would you be so kind as to drive Miss Akers back to her apartment when you get back?”

“Of course,” Sam responded but the words were spoken to no one but Jeanette as the duo found themselves on the front porch of Sam’s house.

“Sam, all this craziness…” Jeanette said quietly as the chill of the night came to her once again. “I have to know… Who was that woman? Was that the devil?”

“If it isn’t,” Sam answered, “then it’s something damn close to it. Come on, let’s get you home and get some rest. We have a lot of work to do if we’re going to win this election.”
