Lent & Lilith’s Connection
“I shall give up the holy trinity for Lent,” said an awakened woman.
Yahweh never instituted Lent, a pagan observance connecting debauchery to the supposed resurrection of a false Messiah. The Abrahamic sheep who observe Lent may be religious, dedicated and sincere, however they are blinded by their individual and collective ignorance.
Lent originated in ancient Sumeria, and among them Lent seems to have been an indispensable preliminary to the great annual festival in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Tammuz!
Tammuz (Dumuzid) is an ancient god associated with shepherds and the primary consort to the Goddess Lilith, aka Inanna or (Ishtar).
In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Tablet VI, Tammuz was listed as one of Ishtar’s past lovers, who was turned into an allalu bird with a broken wing. Tammuz was associated with fertility and vegetation. The hot dry summers of Mesopotamia were believed to be the cause of Tammuz’s yearly death. People all across the land would engage in public ritual mourning for him believing that his rebirth would mean the regeneration of life within nature.
Similar feasts are found throughout peoples of antiquity. For instance, the ancient Egyptians observed a forty day fast in honor of Osiris.
Although Christians believe the purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer for Easter through prayer, doing penance, mortifying the flesh, repentance of sins, almsgiving, simple living and self-denial in preparation of celebration of Easter Sunday recalls the resurrection of JC.
It is nothing more than merging other religious beliefs from other societies and using the combining of these ancient practices to pacify the early christian church … A power grab, after all, the “good” book says nothing about Lent or Easter.
