Synopsis: Something has invaded her dreams…and possibly her bedroom?

The Maze

Olivia awoke with a jolt. Untangling herself from the covered sheet, she sat up with an exasperated sigh. Despite the cool air of the room, her entire body felt hot. Strands of bluish black hair clung to her face and neck, now damp from the layer of perspiration that covered her entire body. Every night for the last week, her dreams were invaded by something inhuman.

The first night was brushed aside as simply a combination of her overactive imagination, inactive sex life, and the fact that she was bombarded with Halloween themed content. By this point, she had a constant feeling of unease. It may have been less jarring if the dreams weren’t so vivid or detailed, or at the very least, it was the same dream.

Without fail, each night as she drifted off, the haunting figure visited her. His eyes were a shimmery silver, contrasting starkly against the dark blue hue of his skin. Occasionally she would see a smile flash across his face, revealing straight, white teeth. Even his smile had a hint of something otherworldly, as his canines were just slightly longer than that of a human.

Two black horns peeked out of the shaggy, black hair that sat atop his head. They were barely visible between the matching color, as well as the small size. She would’ve thought she was having dreams about fucking someone in cosplay, except the dark shade touched every inch of his skin.

She hadn’t told anyone about the odd dreams. Despite the disturbing visuals, it was also very erotic, anytime she thought of speaking to someone about it, she felt a pang of embarrassment at how aroused it made her.

Olivia shifted her hips, she was so turned on, her inner muscles ached slightly. She looked at the drawer of her nightstand, catching the corner of her bottom lip between her teeth as she thought about the toy she had tucked away. As she reached her hand towards the small piece of furniture, she heard the distinct pinging noise her phone made whenever she received a text message.

Tonight. You. Me. CORN MAZE!

What? We went last weekend, why can’t we do a hayride, or oooooo haunted house.

We only did the first half, and besides, some of those guys were yummy.

Okay, just let me know what time, and I’ll meet you there.

Britt was stubborn, so if she wanted to do something specific, nothing would change her mind. Besides, she didn’t want to be stuck at home, and she would rather hang out with her best friend, than go out alone. Maybe the corn maze would distract her from her own thoughts. Liv began her day, eventually getting a time for when she needed to meet Britt, and no doubt a few other people. They wouldn’t be meeting until later that night, so she had an entire day to kill.

She tried to find things to busy herself with, but the day still crawled by. TV was normally a decent distraction, but she couldn’t sit still. Her entire body felt twitchy, as if she had an abundance of pent up energy that needed to be released. Housework helped spend some of the energy, but was mentally boring, and her mind kept wandering back to those dreams. Finally it was late enough she needed to get ready.

It didn’t take long for the vast amount of land to be visible, it was only about a mile away from her house, but the corn maze was located on several acres of land that also housed a pumpkin patch, and various other family oriented activities for the season of fall. Liv had opted for a t-shirt, with a long-sleeve cardigan for warmth, and a pair of blue jeans.

Despite how thick the material of her jeans was, they did very little to hold warmth, and she could already tell her thighs and ass were cold to the touch. After her previous visit to this particular place, she knew tennis shoes were the best choice, as the ground was uneven. Her dark hair was pulled into a ponytail to keep it off of her neck, but she was beginning to regret that decision, as her ears were already freezing.

As her feet fell on dirt, she began looking around to see if she could spy either Britt or the Honda Accord she would’ve driven in. Her feet continued moving towards the bonfire as she looked, the place she had told Britt to meet her. Liv took a seat on one of the benches, the warmth from the fire seeping into the parts of her that were devoid of body heat. As her eyes still looked for her tardy companion, she scanned the crowd of people.

One of the men caught her attention, he was wearing a bright orange sweatshirt, which automatically told her he was an employee. She had ignored all of the other orange sweatshirts that dotted the area, knowing they weren’t the person she was searching for, but there was something vaguely familiar about him.

He stood several inches taller than everyone else around him, his shaggy, black hair the only thing she could see in reference to his face since his back was to her. The sweatshirt masked his upper body, but she could tell his shoulders were broad. When her gaze reached his ass, she couldn’t help how one of her eyebrows arched at the site. He turned so his face was finally visible, and she tilted her head slightly as the feeling of familiarity increased.

“Hey!”

Britt’s sudden greeting coupled with a hand on her shoulder caused Liv to jump.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.”

Britt lowered herself onto the bench next to Liv.

“Oh you’re fine, I was just distracted.”

Her gaze returned to the employee she had been staring at.

“I swear I know that guy.”

She moved her chin to gesture towards him.

“Which one?”

Devon chimed in, seating himself on the other side of Britt.

“Orange sweatshirt, tall, black hair.”

“He was probably working last weekend.”

“Yeah, I guess, I just feel like I know him from somewhere else.”

Liv looked at Britt, deciding to put it out of her mind and was met with Britt mouthing the words “nice ass” to her. Liv couldn’t help the laugh that came out. The three of them spent a few minutes talking before Britt stood up.

“We need to head to the corn maze, might take a couple hours to get through the entire thing.”

As the trio headed toward the entrance, Liv was laughing at something Britt said, and didn’t notice the man directly in her path until she collided with him. Thankfully she felt a hand around her arm, probably the only thing that kept her from landing on the ground. As she regained her balance, she felt goosebumps spread across her entire body.

The odd sensation was interrupted by a deep voice.

“I’m sorry, are you okay?”

Liv looked up to see the tall, black haired man standing in front of her. She stood there for a second, then finally managed to get her mouth to work.

“Uh … yeah, sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.”

“Well it looks like you’re heading to the corn maze, tonight bracelets are half off.”

“I saw on the website. See, a good night to come.”

Britt nudged Liv with her elbow, causing her to meet her gaze.

“Oh like you needed more incentive, you’re just intent on making me have nightmares about giant stalks of corn and people in orange sweatshirts.”

Hearing a laugh come from the man standing in front of her, she turned her attention back to him, and was met with the figure that had been occupying her dreams. Liv gasped, but as she blinked he once again looked like the attractive man that stood before her previously.

“Liv?” It was Devon who spoke, his voice tinged with concern. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, come on.”

She began walking again, not caring how closely the other two were following. Glancing over her shoulder, she noticed he was watching her with a smirk on his face.

That’s it, I’m officially going crazy.

Liv was on autopilot as she purchased a bracelet and made her way towards the entrance to the maze. Her thoughts were consumed by him, so much so that she was seeing him while she was awake. She remained mostly quiet during their trek through the field, the other two in her party to preoccupied with each other to really notice. Her gaze remained on the ground, only looking up when she noticed it was oddly quiet

“Guys?”

Her pace picked up, the only noise she could hear was the voices of other people in the maze, far enough away that it was very faint. Her pace became a jog, but she still didn’t see or hear them.

“Great,”

She stopped, her hands dropping against her jeans, causing a slapping sound. “I didn’t even want to come, and now I get ditched like a sucky blind date.”

She pulled out her phone, and began texting Britt, when the hair on the back of her neck stood up. Liv spun around, fully expecting someone or something to be behind her, but was greeted only by dirt and corn. She let out a breath, and rolled her eyes at herself before mumbling …

“Crazy.”

Returning to her text, she turned and almost bumped into him. Liv froze, she knew she should scream, or run, something, but her brain ceased working. The lamp posts situated at the perimeters of the maze gave off enough light that she could just discern the navy hue of his skin. He was so tall, her eyes were level with his chest, the ridges of muscle noticeable even in the dim light. Her eyes slowly traveled up, until they reached a smirk that mimicked the employee she had seen just twenty minutes prior. The silver of his eyes almost glowed in the darkness. The smirk he was wearing changed slightly as the upturned side of his mouth parted enough that she could see one of the elongated canines.

She still didn’t move, even as he lifted a hand to grip her chin tightly, causing goosebumps to return. She was expecting his touch to be cool, but his skin felt unusually warm. He loosened his grip, but never removed his hand, instead slowly sliding it lower. As his hand stopped, resting around her throat, her inner muscles clenched in response.

He lowered his face, his lips almost touching hers. Her mouth felt suddenly dry, and she swallowed. Liv was expecting him to close the small distance between them, but instead he began moving his hand lower.

Her nipples were already hard, but when his hand brushed across one, she felt a tingling sensation. Then he moved his head to the side, her eyes closing as he grazed her earlobe with his lips. He inhaled deeply through his nostrils, as if he was filling his lungs with her scent. When his hand reached the edge of her shirt, he slipped his fingers underneath, the back of his fingers touching the soft skin of her abdomen and Liv let out a sigh.

“Tonight.”

The word came out as a gravelly whisper, then his skin was no longer in contact with hers. She slowly opened her eyes, looking around tentatively, but he was nowhere within her line of sight. Several seconds passed, her feet still immobile as she secretly hoped he would return.

Finally she moved, only raising her hand to place her fingers on her chin where he first touched her. The skin there felt slightly warm, giving her a faint feeling of his hand still being present. Her thoughts were interrupted as she heard the laughter of someone approaching. Britt’s blonde hair became visible, her backward movements flirtatious as she spoke to Devon.

“There she is!”

Devon’s tone suggested surprise as her image finally registered.

The remainder of the maze was spent with Liv being a silent third wheel. She only spoke when they would sporadically question her silence. Their increasing concern was obvious, yet jarring as she contemplated the implications of the only word spoken during the short exchange. Eventually she found herself once again alone as her footsteps landed on pavement.

The day had begun with her craving some sort of distraction, only for her to arrive at a need for isolation. The darkness that stretched between the street lights gave her an odd sense of comfort, of being hidden, until the glaring brightness encroached upon her thoughts.

Her residence was within eyesight when the realization that it was completely silent registered, causing her footsteps to slow. The symphony of insects that accompanied the night air was suspiciously absent.

Just as her head swung to the right, there was a rustling of leaves, the sound deafening compared to the mute atmosphere. Liv stilled, expecting the mysterious figure to make an appearance. After a moment, she shook her head at how ridiculous she was being and her footsteps resumed. Once inside she quickly readied herself for bed, and drifted off to sleep with surprising ease.

The dreams had always been similar, only differing by minor details, however this one was peculiar. It had always been a stream of uninterrupted erotic movement, whereas this night it appeared as flashes. A glimpse of unearthly skin against hers, lips a shade darker arriving at the junction of her thighs.

The previous nights had passed unbroken, only halting with the presence of the sun, this night something disturbed the fantasy. The window located a mere two feet from her bed was open, allowing the frigid night air to fill the sleeping space. The room was dark except for the moonlight that poured through the open window.

Liv sat up, pulling the sheet higher to cover her exposed breasts. As she leaned over to close the window, a pair of shimmering eyes met her gaze from the corner of the room. She peered into the darkness, making out a sizable silhouette between the movement of the curtains.

“Are you scared?”

The only other time he had spoken to her he sounded as if he was restraining himself, this time his voice had a tone of curiosity.

“No.”

Despite her answer, her hands tightened around the edge of the sheet. Her eyes were glued to the area his voice originated from, expecting another question. Instead the fluttering fabric rested against the window frame, revealing a spot absent of the dark outline. Liv straightened her spine, feeling a sense of disappointment creep in at the thought of that being the end of their interaction. Her head swiveled just as she felt the mattress shift, and those mesmerizing eyes were inches from her.

“Are you sure?”

He gently pulled the sheet until her feet were the only part of her body concealed.

“Yes.”

Her answer had been honest, but she couldn’t shake the nervousness attached to her voice. His eyes were lowered, focused on her breasts as he ran his thumb across a nipple. Liv arched her back slightly, pressing the sensitive area against his digit. His entire body began moving again, and she followed suit until her back was against the mattress.

She expected his body to blanket hers, but he paused to place a kiss at the sensitive skin below her breast. His mouth moved upwards, sprinkling gentle kisses as he moved to her ear. Her body had been in a constant state of arousal, and his slow pace frustrated her even more.

“Tell me what you desire.” As the last word was spoken, he nibbled her earlobe. Liv responded by running her hands down his chest, savoring the feeling of hard muscle beneath feverish skin. Her hips moved as an unspoken plea, but he simply increased his teasing, grinding his hips in a way that caused his shaft to part her slick folds and graze the tiny bundle of nerves with a delicious friction.

“Say it.”

Voicing her desire would feel like letting go of the minuscule shred of resolve she wanted to hold onto. That inner ache had returned, the kind that would only be sated once she was filled by something hot and hard, with its return her resolve crumbled.

“Fuck me.”

Hearing her surrender, he moved his hips forward, eliciting a small gasp from her as he eased his cock into her. His movement was painstakingly slow, allowing her to adjust to each inch of his thick length. Liv heard a restrained groan as his hips met hers, and his pace began to quicken. She lifted her hips to meet each stroke, small moans escaping with every exquisite movement.

He dipped his head, flicking his tongue across a nipple, causing her to bury her fingers in his obsidian hair. She felt him nip at the same spot where he had previously placed a gentle kiss, and whimpered, the added sensation also causing her back to arch.

He straightened his upper body, his hands moving beneath her hips to lift them. Her hands searched for something to grab on to, settling for his arms as his hands gripped her hips tightly, his fingers digging into the delicate skin. Her moans grew louder, mingling with the sounds of their bodies meeting.

The familiar build had been rising, a feeling that was pleasant, yet frustrating all at once. One of his hands moved to the junction of her thighs, his thumb finding the sensitive bud. Liv’s nails dug into his arms as his thumb worked expert circles, a slight feeling of panic creeping in at the intensity building up. Suddenly his hand was on her throat, not squeezing, just present.

“Cum for me.”

The demanding tone in his voice coupled with the touch of his hand on her neck sent her over the edge. Her voice came out a cross between a moan and a scream, encouraging each thrust of his hips. Somehow the feeling was laser focused, but present throughout her entire body. Tiny aftershocks were still present as the hand at her throat moved to grip one of the metal bars of her headboard.

His hand was still at the junction of her thighs, the movements of his thumb and cock never lessening. Her body had been on edge for days, so her first orgasm happening so quickly wasn’t a shock, but she was surprised to feel a second climax approaching so soon. Liv’s hands had moved to his back, her nails scoring his dark flesh as she panted, desperate to feel her body hit that second peak. The slight squeaking that was produced by the movement of her metal headboard briefly registered through the fog of her brain.

“Oh God.”

The second orgasm seemed to be slightly stronger than the first, and more lengthy. The moan he let out as she came didn’t escape her attention and without even thinking she bit down on his shoulder. One hand continued to grip the metal behind her head, but as the second orgasm waned, he moved the other hand from between her legs and splayed it across her abdomen, pinning her against the bed as he slammed into her the last few times. He stilled, his hips against hers, letting out one last moan as his cock twitched a few times inside of her, filling her with his hot cum.

Olivia suddenly felt exhausted, her elbows dropped to the mattress lightly, her hands still touching his upper arms. Her sigh of satisfaction morphed into a giggle as he nuzzled her neck.

“Sleep little human.” he whispered as he withdrew from her.

“Olivia.”

He chuckled, “Sleep Olivia.”

“Only if you tell me your name.” Her voice was faint, and she knew she wouldn’t be conscious much longer.

“Alex.”

Just as she drifted off she thought Such a funny name for a monster.

As she opened her eyes, the ray of sun peaking through the open curtain momentarily blinded her.

What a great dream last night. She thought as she attempted to blink away the white spot that had taken up residence in her vision. The fog slowly lifted from her brain, allowing a few details to register, such as the faint soreness she was feeling in a very particular area.

That was a dream … right?

Having had enough of the rather unwelcome brightness, Liv turned to pull the curtain closed, but her hand froze while holding the fabric as her eyes landed on the metal piece located between her bed and wall. The brushed nickel headboard was rather simplistic, composed of straight vertical bars, each with a small decorative knot at the top, connecting to a horizontal bar at the top. The top bar was slightly arched, but smooth with not even a scratch present in the dark silver of the material, apart from a noticeable bend in the frame.

She touched her fingertips to the warped section that was slightly off center, and remembered how he had gripped the metal bar when he removed his hand from her neck. The damage was most definitely real, which meant so was he. Her mind was reeling at the thought of what he could possibly be, when an image of the attractive, tall, grey eyed employee at the corn maze flashed through her head.

Liv could be crazy, but the identical smirk sported by the employee and….whatever he was, told her otherwise.

THE END
